Anyone got a favourite storm season thawt they remember???

Mines definatly 2008, that was a insane year, multiple Severe thunderstorm warnings, over 10 storms locally that year. Aiport recorded 80-90kmhr gust from a storm too. It was awesome.

Really happy with all the rain in Ingham yesterday, I feel like I'm coming out of hibernation, but after one day of rain some of the roads potholes have opened up again , I think if our roads are not fixed quick come the wet season my little green car is going to be swallowed up shocked
... and nope sorry trav no favorite all my wet seasons just roll into one happy memory

Yes I would agree with you Trav that was a good year.

But Jan 1998 was pretty spectacular too from a first hand experience view point. I will never forget the Night of Noah. That was an insane weather event rainwise and the impact on Townsville was far reaching and on going with flood mitigation works, geo mapping flood prone areas etc.

Overcast at the moment. Heavy black clouds coming over from Mt Stuart. A couple of small green blobs well to our south according to both airport and HR Radar sites.

Would love something out of those heavy black clouds all around the place, but nothing showing on the radar which is frustrating.. Not even worth mentioning my rainfall from yesterday frown

A couple of small cells popping up around Woodstock (acording to the new radar) doing the "nah nah nah naah nah" thing and dissapearing again in the next frame. Sigh

1 day away from the beginings of the buildup to the Wet and it can't start early enough for me.

My favourite storm season in the north was 1997/98, the year of Justin and two amazing storms, one on the Monday, one on the Tuesday both severe and hitting on dusk, I remember the dark clouds racing over the sunset, very eerie indeed.
And Justin was great, lots of fun, only a cat 1 in the end, crossed inland to the north of us and back out to sea over us, awesome.

I think Burnsey is on holidays, he usually takes hem during the dry.
My computer is playing up, couldn't add to previous statement through edit.

My first shift here in Townsville today. Can't believe how humid yesterday was compared to what it felt like in SE QLD when I left!

Now i literally know what it feels like in a buildup part of the season. It must be so frustrating having such full on humidity (I'm soft I know) but no storms! I'm here until the 2nd week of November so I'm really hoping I get to see/chase a storm up here before then!

It was nice to see some convection on the ranges today again tho'!
