Thursday, Friday and Saturday! ACCESS now has the cool change moving through the south on Saturday, but it allows the heat to rebuild on Sunday. Mildura is looking at 5 days in the 40's IMO, BOM already has them on 41C on Boxing day and 44C on Thursday.

I'll start a thread now, not sure when to end it though!

After a couple of weeks absence - GFS is mooting a return of tropical moisture into Vic, an easterly dip with moisture from QLD?:

ACCESS doesn't really agree more just a couple of days of storms on the eastern ranges. Still nothing more than a few showers in the next 10 days for anywhere west of Melbourne.

Hot one coming up on Friday, 46C in Mildura, 42C in Melbourne.

32c Tommoz and 42c Friday!! This is where
Summer starts to get real serious fire wise.
I noticed they increased the wind speed as
Well for my area from 15-20km to 25-35km
And throw in some stronger gust Id expect with
That.
By the weekend Id expect that everything around
Me will be all but cured or close to it and no real
Rain to come with the change on Saturday.
Just have to hope that troughy easterly dip
Drags a heap of moisture down and dumps
Some solid rain mid next week?

Can see some convective activity to my NE - not sure there's any structure to it though. Only lightning indicated is up near Vic/NSW border (Delegate).

Let's hope for no lightning strikes in the mts tonight.

Hmmm, and TC Penny is mooted by GFS to not return to QLD next week, there goes the moist NE'ly infeed for the large scale heat low?

....hopefully the other models snare it back to Aus when they update.

aircraft are racing up to check for any fires from that cells near Bendoc, really hope there isn't.

Doubt we will get anymore, surface heating should already be dropping.

The area of the CGs spread but I think the heat (as you say Logansi) is going out of it. Nevertheless it seems highly likely that there will be starts in that border area.

Yeah bad day Tommoz thats for sure.
After a day in the low 40s, do not want
High base storms!! Everything will be prime
To explode by later Tommoz arvo with any spark.

Cant remember the last time my area was rated
In the severe category this early in summer?
Says how dry it is so early on
