In the meantime, I reckon there is a chance that local low pressure stalling over SE Vic might produce a drizzly night and provide a bit more rain accumulation than currently modelled for Gippsland/E Gippsland?:

No drizzle event unfolded here, did end up with a cool 11.5C morning and heavy dew - resulted in a quiet morning with the lawn mowers remaining in the sheds around Maffra.

After a coolish week, looks like a warm weekend ahead looming. Should be nice along the coastal areas.

I think worst heave-wave return last week of February as heat ready in WA as southern ocean cold uppers all gone south.

Anyway our good cool SW winds was good but seem Sun UV still burn off cold uppers and kill it.

TC taking a long time to move away, has all Aus's weather tied up in it.

Looking at the 8 day temperature outlook for Vic, seems to me the next "heatwave" will probably be a prolonged Indian Summer mid March, circa 34-36C at the max?

Might be an early start for the Autumn burnoff season if no windy events arrive?

Yep, Cyclone killing the Heat for SE Australia is good thing to cool down but my record shows is same repeat February last 2018 is quick early Autumn.

Big problem no rain inland Australia and only Queensland flooding and East Coast showers that's it.
