Whats your summer rainfall been like?

Parts of the nation have suffered through drought and others through above average rain.

How much rain have you had and how has it affected your local area?

well technically if you follow the equinox's, summer starts on the 22nd of December [in 2012/13/14 its back to the 21st of Dec].

But yes, my current 'summer' has comprised of a ridging high blocking us for about a month leaving me in a state of absurd boredom and heatstroke and them a couple of rain events over the last two weeks, filling my gauge a grand total of 46mm [21 today].

But the fun hasn't even begun yet

It has just kept raining here, well enough so the weeds wont die.
That makes it hard for making the place fire safe.

I want the grass to die so I can slash it down.
Another 16 mil last Thursday and it all growing again

It was pretty ordinary early in summer, following from an ordinary spring and winter. past few weeks we've had a lot more, but until then, it was looking pretty depressing. Only good thing was the Patto's didn't appear because it was dry. The St John's Wort wasn't deterred however, worst season in ages for that.
