the interesting things about cyclones are the unpredictable nature if u see the last few frames of colourised loop grant has formed a eye, also the low has been over land and now is over the waters of the coral sea so could feed of that i think will go east but then could creep back into our swell window for another good swell in about a week hopefully

The black spot just means very cold cloud tops, it could be a really high storm anvil or something. Water spouts remain below the cloud base.

high seas location of the two lows in the coral sea at present, ex grant being the 1st low, by those coordinates, he is now on the coast, just north of Princess Charlotte Bay -

PART 2 SITUATION

Trough from first low near 13.5S 143.5E to second low near 15S 150E to 17S160E
to 28S170E. Trough moving northeast, expected near 10S142E to 16S155E to
25S170E at 311100UTC. Ridge near eq142E to 07S170E, near stationary.
