Is the start of a new thread early a sign of Mick10's plans for new year??? Will you be "under the weather" so to speak after new years festivities?

Happy New Year to everyone. Hope we have exciting weather events ahead for the new year, but without the loss of lives, property or hardship caused from extreme weather events. To all those people that have gone through difficulties this year caused from flooding, Yasi, etc, congratulations to you on being such a survivor.

Thanks DellyD - I for one ended the year a much stronger person than the one who started it. Having a quiet night with all the kids out and about, with the promise to be where they should be when I collect them at 12.30am.. I hope I am still awake then! Happy New Year to everyone - may this year bring us all lots of laughs, love and plenty of weather topics to talk about..:)

Quite a pleasant day today, but looks by Thursday temps are goIng to climb into the high 30's. Am not looking forward to 5 plus days of high temps and no sign of rain to cool us down either.

http://www.australianweathernews.com/OCF/OCF_033.HTM. Great temps for Yeppoon for the next week, so glad I am going over there for 4 days, great way to beat the heat.

hope everyone pulled up ok after last night! I did not, however it was not self inflicted as I don't drink. Woke up with the sorest throat and temperatures feel like poo! Also if you or any of your friends red claw, be careful as we had four of our pots stolen.

I think the hottest day is on Sunday it may hit 30 deg. There should be a breeze though. Looking at weatherzone everytime Yeppoon seems to get over 30 deg (which isn't that often) the wind averages less than 20km/hr or so it seems.

I still like to celebrate but these days instead of a rave party it's more like a tea party Well enjoy the mild temperatures over the next few days as it's only going to get hotter... I don't really drink, one glass of champers and then I had a hot choc on retiring to bed. Lol. It looks like the weather is going to get quite disgusting.

yep. nothing like a return to work ( long sleeves and jeans ) to bring on the hot weather... Enjoying my last day of freedom by lazing around home, in and out of the pool- at least when I return to work it will look like I have been on hols with my tan! Hope 2012 is wonderful for all of you CQ'ers.. Keep hydrated in the next few days!

I had to go up town before and it seems to be west of town, I didn't drive to see. There will be a high fire danger with the hot weather coming up too.
