Thanks Eddy, it is up all night now (circumpolar), but 1st quarter moon hides it until after 1am. It is still low in the South then, but rising, so from about 2:30am until twlight starts is the best time to see it. Once into twilight it will be invisible again.
You do need very dark skies though, it would be invisible with any local light pollution. It will have moved a bit further towards the South Celestial Pole on tue morning, but still in the same part of the sky, so you can use the Pointers as a guide.

Thanks Anthony for deleting the image. Just for future reference, it would be better to post a link to the images on the astro forum, that way you can absolve yourself any possible infringment upon the artist / photographer, and they will get the credit that they deserve. That way everyone is happy. I know from personal experience of what it feels like to have my work ripped off, but i also have learned to protect my images more effectively. Keep the sharing going though guys, that's what this forum is all about.

Cool missy : ) This comet is still being photographed with ok results, not as bright a last week, but in another week or two, it will take quite a bit of skill, very dark skies, a good telescope and tracking mount to cature it somewhat : ) so, while the Iron is at least warm : )

I would say it's pretty much at this point now ;-). Even the images from those tracking under dark skies show little detail.

I think i managed to find it, but it was very faint. I had taken some pics from the backyard, with it being so faint i didnt bother going to the beach.
Unfortunately my lense will only go as low F4.
Here is the pic,

Hopefully that is Comet Lovejoy in the centre of pic?

Yep, well done Eddy, the exciting thing is how long that tail is, you can quite easily see it going almost to the top of your frame which makes it approx 30-35 degrees long, coool !

I am going out again tonight even tho there's not much brightness to it as last week but still interesting to some : )

Rgrds .

Was a bit touch & go last night, 5 of us were humbly working at our cameras, Missychop and freind Dan were sharing shots with some good results : )
Initially there were a few clouds about east of the storm cell that travelled from Tenterfield to Warwick around 11pm for about an hour. Some thin mid level moisture lurking till 1:30am. Then had a 30min clear dark patch over the comet and then the cloud rolled in again, so only a small window of opertunity which allowed time for 5 sub images of 3mins with ICNR ! During this time , Lovejoy was just visible to the eye !

Here is my final of 5 subs stacked and processed in CS3 !

Cheers and Ignorance excused Eddy, Lol ; ) I am still learning camera talk myself : ) In Camera Noise Reduction, Is like an added dark frame to help reduce noise in the image, If you do a 30second exposure with ICNR, you will need to wait another 30seconds for the noise reduction frame to build. What ever the length the exposure is, the Noise reduction or (Dark frame) will take the same length of time to build and a sec or two before you can take another image, or light frame !

More than welcome missy & Dan, Cool to have met & great to have your company. it wasnt worth staying any longer as cloud formed quite quickly and the two Iridiums were No Go ?
I seen some comet on Dans camera and maybe worth stacking a few if his frames etc are the same, I was quite surprised as he was using the 18-55 kit lens, so he must have had his finger on something that made it show up, Ha ha ha : )
All the best !
