Hi Guys,
Doing some browsing of facebook ive noticed that sites such as weatherunderground etc have a facebook app that allows you to have the current weather conditions on your facebook home page, but its only usable in USA.
Is there any chance of one being created by Weatherzone for us to have in Australia. Already you have one for the desktop computers so something like that would be great and hopefully can just be simply re configured to be added to a facebook page account.
cheers just an idea

http://apps.facebook.com/weatherzone/?ref=ts There already is one for Facebook Surfer.

It works off your postcode and then configures itself back to your local/nearest BoM Station.
So for me I live in Rasmussen but it configures itself to Townsville BoM where on average the tempratures are 5C cooler than me, I get 40% less rainfall and the winds and direction are meaninglees as I am 18 klms from the Airport.

All in all pretty bloody useless.

Hi Sir Boab Tree,
I do know about that facebook app. What im talking about is an app that works much like and android widget (if you have an android phone) basically it is exactly the same as the weatherzone widget that sits on your computer screen. It shows the current Obs and maybe a picture of sun/cloud /rain etc Instead of clicking on the weatherzone app and opening up another page this sits somewhere on the top of your facebook page for all to see that access your site.

Basically the same idea as this....

however instead of it being on your Desktop page, it sits on your Facebook home page (possibly on the right where the adverts normally are) giving live local conditions.
Once the weatherzone home page app was seen on peoples home pages it would spread like wild fire and with the widget having the link to the Weatherzone site it would have a heck of a lot more people accessing the site which of course would benifit Weatherzones and there sponsors who place adverts on the site.
