Actually looks like Moruya and Batemans Bay, and anything in between are in the firing line.
That's a nice big red cell heading in their direction.

I like the storms heading up from the SW, Hay, Narrendera , Griffith in firing line, IM at work so could end up with some blackouts , my area starts from Lake Carg and upwards.

Sea Breeze Front, or more so a boundary between the ne and sw... if you turn on the Obs Wind streamlines on wz radar you can see the convergence. Very handy for longevity near that area.

BOM are now onboard for avo storms for Canberra for tomorrow and friday..... good to see. Michael Keene is going to investigate the cell on the coast, looks good visually, however it appears as if the original cell is dying, with some back building. Myabe a second life.

There's also some stuff forming to the NW of the original storm. Hopefully for mk, it keeps it's momentum going.

Just out of work. I can see it from here, at present looking rather weak as congestus towers to the west end of the line, glaciating into an ugly mass towards the east.

Will watch it over next hour, if it still holds on radar I may make a run for it.

it's looking quite messing in terms of wind direction over there. No wonder it's falling apart... perhaps topography is playing it's part in the demise. Still plenty of heating over the next 2 hours, so i hope things kick off again. Tomorrow looking better for us in the ACT.

im at work till 8 and havent been aware of the going on's down the coast... loaded up radar to see what you guys were discussing (45 minutes ago mind you). which seems to have exploded in the latest update! fingers crossed for Mr keene and mt if he's gone for it! hopefully its not the last hurrah microburst but the speed to which it blew up on radar seems to suggest to me it may well be it.

It has rebuilt and gone into the black. Still heading through no-man's land but the Southern Highlands could get a piece of it if it hold's its strength.

the southern highlands cell is certainly motoring along now that it went super.

a parallel course with sustained strength should push it into Campbelltown area by about 9.30pm.

there is certainly enough moisture at low levels to feed it.

are there enough other positive factors in the atmosphere to maintain its strength?

Yeah... or so it seemed. That cell was a fizzer, it died not long after I posted that message (only got a few light spits of rain and one possible distant lightning flash), I must've jinxed it frown

Hope for a bit of action later this evening and certainly tomorrow as I head back from Merimbula to Corryong smile

it's a typical left mover which should keep the main cells in the blue mountains where it's most likely getting a decent boost from the humid easterly topographical uplift.

Michael keene has been observing the cell from 15km west of nowra, lightning chaser is closer getting time-lapse. Microburst features easily seen, meso type structure, clear air strikes "out of blue sky" has been mentioned. Mr Keens is now repositioning to kangaroo valley if he makes it in time.

WOW! That cell down south is looking very decent. Nice you can see the structure where you are Cory. Never know, it might hold together and make it this way. Look's to be back building atm.
