Smurfberry Cloud Gazer Registered: 30/08/2011 Loc: Taigum (Zillmere)	well i can confirm as of about 5 mins ago it was raining in bracken ridge quite heavy, and telegraph rd is once again a big fun puddle...now raining steadily (not to heavy) in Taigum. 1 day i will get a weather station

The obs suggest it will slowly move west, and if it maintains current intensity once it reaches the coast would be sure to cause flash flooding. The rainfall rates according to the radar are around 40-50mm an hour, and the whole cell is extremely slow moving. My concern is without a warning or any mention on BOM website (forecast for rest of Thursday is "showers and some local thunder") that people will be going to bed, and could be woken up by a very nasty suprise in the early hours of the morning... _________________________ Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did.
