28mm here and it has been stopped for over one hour now. Most of it has soaked away, which is a good sign, so that means the ground isn't too saturated after last weeks 140mm.

This system is so amazing, the airport recorded 22.4mm since 9:00am, Redcliffe 43mm since 9:00am. I am at Bracken Ridge, geographically midway between the two and 4 Km from the Bay, and we only recorded 11 mm from 9:00am. When you look at the figures here http://www.bom.gov.au/qld/observations/brisbane.shtmland here http://www.bom.gov.au/qld/flood/qld_metro.shtml it really has been hit and miss. I believe tomorrow will be a different story though.

Pabloako I got the same 28mm………but I must have very bad drainage here! Lol I had to walk thru ankle deep water/mud to check the gage in the yard! I guess that means that we are both calibrated correctly, or we are both calibrated by the same incorrect amount! (or it was luck we got the same) No puddles on my lawn, but there is a definate squelch when I walk on it. I think that will be different if we get another 100, 200 or 300mm though!

79mm in the gage @ 8:50am. Thats the totals I have since it went up at about 12:10pm yesterday arvo. That was also one scary drive to get the kids to school! Just about couldnt see anything on Lynfield Drive heading to Smiths road. LOTS of water around so fingers crossed people are careful!

Hi Coxy. Boscombe Road (near Rafting Ground Road). Went past there this morning at 7am and there was a couple of inches of water over the bridge. That's all I've seen so far. That goes under nearly every significant storm hey? I used to live in Kenmore and go to Kenmore High and the number of times kids in Upper Brookfield were stranded at school after an afternoon storm was pretty ridiculous.

Glad I emptied the gage tonight! There was 100mm in it from 8:50 am till 6:15pm……so far from yesterday at 12pm I have had 179mm (not going back out to check it again tonight!) Now to work out if the Hubby will get thru to work tomorrow from Caboolture to the City………My vote is he should stay home!

Think this will be the smallest numbers seen on this thread! 31.6mm from 6.30am Tues to 6.30am this morning(Weds) 5.3mm from 6.30am Mon to 6.30am Tues Total of nearly 37mm all up here in Rangeville, very embarrassing considering the huge totals on here! Toowoomba AP has recorded 25.6mm since 9am yesterday. Only 27.2mm at Withcott, I was never expecting much anyway. I sort of expect around 100mm for the whole event. To all those people in Brisbane who got just under 200mm last night, try getting that in just over an hour, thats what we got down here at Withcott last year!

It's been over for Brisbane since last night. The storms out west are definitely not an MCS and we'll be lucky to see anything except for a little rain from them. Time to turn our attention to this upcoming 'low'. EDIT: Whoops wrong thread, sorry

Only 19.5mm over the past 4 days and a grand total of 49mm so far this month. Hard to believe most of the state is flooding and we are sitting at 50% of average rainfall.

Just ticked over 200mm here since 10am Sunday. 100mm or so in 24 hours at Red Hill behind Coffs. Local radio says they are sandbagging shops the main street of Coffs.
The Highway North to Woolgoolga is open but there are some houses inundated just off the highway at Sandy Beach.
In the 2009 floods Red Hill had over 300mm in 5 hours so I dont think we are at panic stations yet.

Some great totals around the place, turns out the GFS wasn't on any special pills, as I did actually receive just over 600mm this week, and noticed plenty of other places with similarly high totals (as were forecast).
Here's the breakdown from my pocket of the Tweed Valley:
23/1 M: 52mm 24/1 T: 71mm 25/1 W: 249mm 26/1 T: 5mm 27/1 F: 206mm 28/1: 17.5mm (from Sat. to 9am Sun 29/1)
=600.5mm
