28mm here and it has been stopped for over one hour now. Most of it has soaked away, which is a good sign, so that means the ground isn't too saturated after last weeks 140mm.

This system is so amazing, the airport recorded 22.4mm since 9:00am, Redcliffe 43mm since 9:00am. I am at Bracken Ridge, geographically midway between the two and 4 Km from the Bay, and we only recorded 11 mm from 9:00am.

When you look at the figures here http://www.bom.gov.au/qld/observations/brisbane.shtml
and here http://www.bom.gov.au/qld/flood/qld_metro.shtml it really has been hit and miss. I believe tomorrow will be a different story though.

I guess that means that we are both calibrated correctly, or we are both calibrated by the same incorrect amount! laugh
(or it was luck we got the same)

No puddles on my lawn, but there is a definate squelch when I walk on it. I think that will be different if we get another 100, 200 or 300mm though!

That goes under nearly every significant storm hey? I used to live in Kenmore and go to Kenmore High and the number of times kids in Upper Brookfield were stranded at school after an afternoon storm was pretty ridiculous.

It's been over for Brisbane since last night. The storms out west are definitely not an MCS and we'll be lucky to see anything except for a little rain from them.

Time to turn our attention to this upcoming 'low'.

I'm still kinda jealous of those who've scored 300mm+ shocked

Just ticked over 200mm here since 10am Sunday. 100mm or so in 24 hours at Red Hill behind Coffs. Local radio says they are sandbagging shops the main street of Coffs.

The Highway North to Woolgoolga is open but there are some houses inundated just off the highway at Sandy Beach.

In the 2009 floods Red Hill had over 300mm in 5 hours so I dont think we are at panic stations yet.

Some great totals around the place, turns out the GFS wasn't on any special pills, as I did actually receive just over 600mm this week, and noticed plenty of other places with similarly high totals (as were forecast).

Here's the breakdown from my pocket of the Tweed Valley:

23/1 M: 52mm
24/1 T: 71mm
25/1 W: 249mm
26/1 T: 5mm
27/1 F: 206mm
28/1: 17.5mm (from Sat. to 9am Sun 29/1)

=600.5mm
