it is 28.9C still at 10:30pm they say sownsville feels like 34.5C thats what i mean when i say hot.
http://www.weatherzone.com.au/region.jsp?lt=wzstate&lc=qld&d=-1&subset=a

you can see on this table that up north where the low is/has been the temps have dropped aswell as the feels like. Even though i am in aircon i still have to go outside for a smoke fro time to time so i would love for the low or a storm or some rain or some thing to come through and drop the temp

Well I wouldn't call that the the most interesting chase of my life but certainly not a bust!!!

Missed the early Pentland cell, just too late on the road! Damm work!
On the Greenvale Line:
From the Towers to Basalt(Fletcher Crk) could see the building insane lightshow ahead
From Baslat on was almost awesome, had constant low level cloud hanging infront of the main line but none the less still great!
Unfortunately the best of the lightning remained west of the GDR preventing me nailing any pictures due to distance, trees and low level cloud.
Stopped at the Hervey's turnoff to assess the situation, decided it was still active enough ahead to push on...when things got really interesting!
Got about 30km past the halfway house(Bluewater springs roadhouse) and got absolutely smashed by torrential rain, turned around as the lightning was dying, for a good 10km or more either side of the roadhouse I was limited to 30km/h or less due to no visibility, window wipers full and I couldn't even see the end of the bonnet clearly! Decided it was definately time to get out of there so when I hit the Herveys turn off I headed home but not before waiting to see if I could luck out for one decent picture...alas not!

Well that's about it...
I think I have earned a Bundy...been awake for 20 hours now!

Cheers to the freakin weekend, I'll drink to that yeah yeah! cheers

For once, I'm hoping that doesn't come off. My eldest turns 7yo tomorrow (I'm sure we miscalculated somewhere .... I can't be that old? wink ) and her party is Sat Feb 4th. At least its a pool party! grin

Getting so disappointed waking up to these blue skies. It's almost the end of January ... apparently all those wishes to never have a wet season as hairy as last year's was heard by someone upstairs.

Try 27, that's when you know you're getting old. OK we'll forgo the rain event for Sat and have it at late that night!!!!

9mm from all of last nights um non event.

Dee you can start whinging about your age when your oldest child turns 30 like my son Matthew did last year. Sigh I am offically an old fart. I found out yesterday I could have obtained a seniors card from Townsville City Council 6 years ago when I turned 50.

No cyclone for me this year as I'm a pensioner and can't afford to buy a Dyson Vacuum Cleaner, which is the only cyclonic action I'm likely to be able to handle.

my son started high school this yr and i am only 29 now who is feeling old before their time. As for staying up half the night waiting for somthing that doesnt come has become part of my life making me tired all the time, and look older lol. Is this going to stop me staying up, hell no as soon as i go to bed early i can guarantee i will miss somthing amazing even if there is clear blue skies no prospect of rain. When we were supposed to be getting somthing i stay up and get nothing when we arent supposed to get sh*t i will go to bed and it would be game on.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE some thing happen this weekend. We deserve it.

not only that it is way to hot. last night at midnight the temp was still 29 and the feels like was 34.9, thank god for the aircon. Ergon will be loving me right about now.

Join me in wishing for some thing to give this weekend while i am off work and can appreciate it. lol
