Yes just showery drizzle now, but it's setting in over Bundy by the looks. Heads up - you're it.

Guage is up to 98mm now. another 30mm in the last 1.5 hours. It is still bucketing down. Tanks overflowing, gutters overflowing toilet struggles to flush as the sceptic is full of water. I wonder how much is falling over the Paradise Dam and Monduran catchment areas.

Oddly enough they only appeared last year in the big wet. Hadn't seen them again this year until it got real wet again.

I haven't seen any brolgas for the last couple of years though.

Was there any mention of Hervey bay receiving 140mm yesterday? Or for the severe weather warnings do they only mention the observations for the areas that are about to be affected?

No, I haven't seen anything. But we are not in the Great South East. The only place that matters is there. frown

That's correct as far as I know there were no forecasts or reports thus far of 140mm for Hervey Bay.
Even when we do get significant weather it isnt important lol.

Had 18mm from 9am yesterday, and a further 30mm in gauge this morning to 9am.

Haven't seen Burdiken Ducks before. Cute little fellas - must've been made in a hurry, where's all his back bits? confused

Have 15 bundles of frog spawn in a puddle near the front door. Will be going out to rescue them shortly, as it dries out quickly there and we'll lose them. Can't have too many frogs can you? Though last night was a real test of friendship. Hubby thinks I'm crazy. He could be right. But he usually comes out to help/watch me scoop. wink

Yes there was a lot of frog noise last night like in a jungle of the tropics, and i bet there was a lot of breeding going on. Might have to have a scout around for spawn too. There were some soon to dry out significant puddles here yesterday.

This rain is so good for my frogs. Leaves lots of water for them to breed in.

I love my frogs, though they do tend to push the friendship at times. They are so noisy that I end up having to wear ear plugs. They spawn in the horse water troughs, the birdbath and even the dog water bowls.

I have only heard one of my big green frogs calling.

Here is a couple of pics I took of some of my frogs the other night

One of the little green fellas making noise

Rocket/marsh frog

Ornate burrowing frog

Brown Tree frog

I didn't see any of my gecko coloured tree frogs or the big green ones to get pics of.

I was half thinking I should have gone to town. The main bridge isn't under yet.

Daughter got on facebook and put paid to any ideas I may have had. One of the creeks on the way is well and truly under.

Oh well. Lucky I didn't really want to go. My car isn't an amphibous vehicle

Great frog pics Mega & Bundybear ! Soooo wet, we've had 67mls thurs o/night and another 46 fri o/night ( 345mls total, from the 14th to today )....The ants are very busy, building themselves high rise apartments about 3 feet above ground , on the weatherboards in back mud room, dogs area, but they are not in the dog beds or water & they work so hard , I haven't the heart to get rid of them.....yet ! They did it last year in the big wet too, must be telling us something...

Great pics bundy & Manta! Was much the same here the past couple of nights - frogs were going crazy, and I kid you not - probably the loudest I've ever heard them. Just wish those damn toads would bugger off - they're also out in force.
