Koumala have had 140mm since 4am. One of my friends is flooded in, no work for her today!

We had a few claps of thunder about 3.30am and then the rain poured. Nylex tells me 54mm since I emptied at 8pm last night, I woke at 7am and we haven't had any rain since then.

Welcome to the forum Tornado Girl, look forward to hearing from your neck of the woods.

We've had 27.4mm for the last 24 hours, looking at the radar from overnight it would appear everyone got a drink.

Wow! Was amazed to wake up and see the Davis reporting 40.8mm since midnight, I'm yet to work out the total to 9am but good to see some decent falls overnight, was not expecting it with the forecast of "A few showers".

Pressure is low, currently 999.3hPa. Lowest I've had since way back in 2010.

Same here PV, pressure 999.7hpa earlier today but now slowly rising - I think I've solved the high humidity readings - found a wasps mud nest in the sensor!

I took these photos a couple of weeks ago while we were crabing and i just wanted to know if the cloud coming down form the center of rain band could of been the start of a water spout or if it just a bit of low clould hanging down? I have never seen one and was interested in what they look like.

Bucketing down in Proserpine. There looks to a good feed from the ENE so I reckon we gonna get some juicy falls.

Ah ha, that will do it! Had that happen to my old LaCrosse station, also had some strange readings until I fixed the problem!

Better, 28'C with 96% is more believable, though still seems a little high but not as dramatic as previously.

That makes sense now, looking at your records you sent me I noticed that the data seemed to be fine until mid-late January, from there the humidity was really high most of the time with some days having 99% humidity all day. Should see some better readings start to appear now you've fixed the problem.

Hi Roxy the haven't come up the photos, I have seen a few waterspouts over the years but but never managed to get a photo, my daughter has been lucky and got two photos, one the waterspout is going from the cloud down to the water and the other photo you can see it was just disappearing back up into the cloud.

Sorry will try again. The cloud was down a lot further before I took the photo.

It does look like a spout coming from the bottom of the cloud, the photo my daughter took you could see the spout coming from the cloud and going down to the water lifting the water as it was moving. It is the time of the year when it is real hot you see more waterspouts. I have seen a few at town beach and one at the harbour on cloudy days.

Wow! look at the current barometric pressure - thought my Weatherstation was playing up @ 997.4hpa but Hamo & Prossy are similar.

How low can it go without a deep depression or TC?
