OMG it's roasting here!!!! ... looks like a good storm out near harrisville heading our way ... let's hope they don't cause too much trouble .... i hope it hits hard in 2 spots... my old bosses house and my old work.... (wishful thinking that wont happen... but my boss would deserve it) i just relized that all those storms on the mt stapylton radar appear to be in a line. Could be but there is a lot of cells popping up out west heading towards the coast too so this might be the start.

Tamworth BSCH webcam has had some nice-looking pics today from a couple of storms that passed through there this afternoon. One of my favourites from a short time ago: http://webcams.bsch.au.com/archive.html?vi=tamworth_e/2012/02/11/980x734_151751.jpgEven the next pic is nice, as you can see the hills appear from beneath the heavy downpour: http://webcams.bsch.au.com/archive.html?vi=tamworth_e/2012/02/11/980x734_151913.jpgHad a breezy shower here about half an hour ago, though a small storm went about 5kms to the south and I could see the nice strong updraft from the Nambucca cell earlier.

Detailed STW warning cancelled for South-East Queensland. Still a general warning in effect though, hopefully something else will fire up.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that most of the storms are going to end up dying out before they reach the coast, at least as far as Logan north is concerned. We saw it all throughout November, it felt like it was a storm day almost every day for a week, but nothing happened (thanks to no moisture).

A lot of potential right through this afternoon and into tonight, as seen on the radar out near Miles running down through Texas and into NSW. South of Taree (NSW) looks like it is getting some fun! But back to SE QLD, BSCH shows a lot of instability through the ranges so possibly something will build up nicely and venture/give to the coast.

A warning is in place for that cell over Wivenhoe at the moment. Let's see what it produces!

Seems as though that cell that popped up at Samford put a stop to the main cell. I am hoping that cell re-intensifies once a little more east (e.g once at Samford)
