Well, only a month until the pre season comp. And while the Townsville Crocs keep my sporting gene's busy during summer in the NBL, i am missing my footy badly!
cant wait to watch the first lot of games. cant wait to finally have a secured friday night games on tv up here too. Be great!

Ahhh good onya Mick. Yeh i miss me footy as well tho we are fortunate in that we at least have local footy in the off season up here.

Was going to start a new thread but remembered this one, in the first 3 way game of the NAB cup North Melbourne have beaten Richmond by 3 points, North Melbourne losing to Hawthorn by 25 points, and the Tigs making a great comeback against the Hawks to win by 3, great to see the Tigs playing well!

its a dedicated AFL channel mathew, dont want it polluted with NRL aswell, having Eddie's face plasted on every promo is bad enough.

Great to have AFL back and our own channel on Austar absolutely awesome. GWS done well reakon they might go OK in their first season, although from what I recall the Suns didnt go to bad in one of their NAB cup games last year. Giants also have the advantage of having an excellent coach in Sheeds (can't half tell I am an Essendon supporter lol)

Yes i think GWS will at least be competitive which is a good thing, and i think with all the support and concessions they got they should be.... i have to wait til next weekend for my team (Power) but from what i have heard their new recruit Chad Wingard looks like he may be a future superstar.
