Running a 6 hour 512km loop on WZ radar I tend to agree with you.

that circulation looks pretty good, since bom are forecasting the through to move west, should be expect this surface low to perhaps move onto the coast sometime today as well?

Must have been an 'off' run by EC yesterday because it's reverted back to a wet pattern mostly during Friday and early Saturday. ACCESS suite and UK still keep the heavier falls further north but I wouldn't be surprised to see that change in today's runs.

ohh i see now that easterly winds arent expecting to be really ramping up through the atmosphere until late tomorrow early saturday, so that means we would have to wait until than before any system whether it be a through or a surface low to move towards the coast?

Had some heavy rain here since last night. Continuous rain this morning, getting very heavy at times. I guess the big thing is that it is continuous falls.

No Dylos, Updated Access-R acknowledges the weak surface low and pushes it east and washes it out this evening or weakens into a surface trough and then the surface trough comes back onto the coast during Friday Afternoon bringing it with it heavy rain during Friday Evening and Saturday. With the main target area being the Sunshine Coast and hinterland.

Light rain here all morning and up to 12.7mm so far today. The main issue is that it isn't going anywhere as there isn't anywhere for it to soak away to.
FYI - Telstra have had a big issue today, which knocked out their network and sites hosted on it. Optus has been fine.
The rumour is that an "extinct bird" did it.

Rain has eased here at Herston, it is a welcome change to have it overcast and raining today, I'm actually getting work done.

And funny that the internet at my work too went down for some time. Back up now though. Dodododo dodododo who has their finger on the internet OFF button - if such a thing LOL smile

Latest Access-R has ramped up totals for the SE coast - especially for overnight tomorrow into Saturday. 500 hPa winds will be swinging around from the the NE with a cut-off upper low positioning itself over the southern ranges which does add to the mix at the surface level with its long moist easterly fetch.
