A lot of water laying around. Hubby has reported in, many roads out the back under water for km's, creek crossing is running over road. Paddocks look like lakes. We have had 74mm overnight and it is still raining. My back pond/dam that was bone dry on the weekend is overflowing. Got the floaties ready!

Was sitting down at bus stop, waiting... then phone call from school. They have shut it for the day, to much water running across road access into school and not prepared to risk driving the bus through. So another day of rearranging work committments grrrr.

I have come to the conclusion that I accidentally brought Cairns' wet season with me ROFL!! A further, and unexpected, 12mm yesterday (mostly last night - didn't expect that much), pushing my event total to 58.5mm over the past 4 days. Feb total now 76.5mm and a great end to Summer. Looking forward to the next 4 days to see what we end up with. Good luck to those who already have completely sodden soil...

Tipped out another 26mm here in Traralgon from last nights rain... that makes it 59mm since Monday morning! Not sure what home has had but pretty sure its a fair bit more (in line with Maffra's total!).
I was up in Nagambie last night and all day today for a training course and I was staggered at how wet it is up there. On the drive up it started raining lightly around Wallan and then steadily increased the closer I got to Nagambie. Then from about 9pm onwards the heavens opened and sustained that rate throughout the night - locals reported approximately 75-80mm fell last night to add to the 85mm that fell on Monday (160mm+ this week!). With the flat land out there, there is an incredible amount of stagnant surface water with nowhere to go!
Hope Saturday does not destroy half of the state!
