Forecast for today is showers. No early heating like yesterday. In fact it is quite cooler than the same time yesterady so I would think the best we could hope for is just showers this afternoon Matthew. Lots of cells popping between Bambaroo and Cardwell but nothing on the 512klm radar anywhere nearer than that. Obs: 29C 77%RH 25.1C DP 1011HPA and rising.

The key for storms development is the heat that is all i know any way.

26 mm in the nylex as of 9 this morning , only had another 8 since here at the beach , but its been absolutely bucketing down in Ingham when I dropped my daughter off at school this morning some of the local roads were very water logged. Although hadnt heard that the Highway was shut CT? . Still drizzling here clothes have been on the line for 3 days Halifax had 41mm in the last hour ... Edit actually just had someone ring and they have just come through frances creek said it hasnt gone over and Highway was open in that area so not sure where the info came from CT but think maybe its still open ??

Tell me about it! Just left Ingham in a hurry, it hadn't stopped raining, and I mean raining! Lol, was told the highway was closed, got passed Francis creek, (plenty of water over the road) just to be stopped at Paluma cause the highway was in fact closed because of the accident. Made it home ok though!

24mm overnight here. Heard the rain come down last night and made hubby bring the dogs inside (again). They're getting really spoilt - if it's not raining then the excuse is it's too hot or there are too many mozzies. Heaps of sulphur crested cockies, galahs, lorikeets, magpies, whistling ducks, ibis, orioles etc here yesterday; the rain has given them heaps to eat. It's also brought the snakes out to feast on frogs and mice

just pipped me at the post to write that Ol Mate, just had a courier come pick stuff up, Frances Creek is a foot over and coming up, Seymour had water over before, surely must be one lane by now, especially going by radar.. Herbert is so spoiled right now, one day of solid rain and storms.. We'll probably all end up with Ross River after this as our karma for hogging it all, though it is slowly shifting north... bugger LOL Joc, well it does say thunderstorms LIKELY for today... ;D

I reckon I should send them down to ive with you for a week to show them how real dogs live. Maybe then they would appreciate what they have got a little more.

Hmmm was beginning to think I might be getting stuck on Forrest Beach road , 1/2 hour ago when i drove in, Just before Victoria Estate Houses the road is flooded , crap wished I had my 4 wheel drive and not my little mazda 2 , Doesnt look like theres any more rain when you look out the window ? if there is think i may be stuck at work till it goes down.

All well I will just left it's as that any way if you think that way.
Hopefully there got to be much more storms action not that too far away for Townsville that would be great to start of March 2012.
