It is looking to be an interesting week ahead again. The humidity outside this morning is yuck, have been slaving away in it. I am trying to get washing done so I don't need to use the dryer for at least a couple of days if it gets wet. I do love the wet season, but am really starting to be tierd of the humidity and am really looking forward to the weather cooling off a tad and for the humidity to P*ss off. I looked at the synoptic chart and how confusing, low's everywhere. I really need to get on the tractor and slash at the block, but just can't see that happening before it rains too.

Today would be the warmest in a while here. 32 deg, humidity 61 percent , dew point 23 deg and next to no breeze and even the breeze is not off the sea it is NW so bringing heat from both directions , not usually like this. Well so far this summer, it hasn't been like this anyway.

Don't know what is happening with rainfall now, predictions seem to have been downgraded a lot.

It is like Rocky weather here in Yeppoon today, light winds and blimin hot.

Hi Vinnie, drove back from Gladstone and a nice little storm cell just dumped 3-5mm in pockets in 5 minutes. Lots of thunder here but no rain yet.....

0.4mm from this mornings light sprinkle. Looks like something coming towards Yeppoon on the radar.

I nearly made myself sick sitting at the town pool watching the kids swim today, it was so hot, and it was like a sauna. I am nearly over summer. And it's worse when there r no storms to cool it off.

Yeah, usually Yeppoon when it gets up to 32 deg (which is not common) usually at least gets a decent breeze, but today it was like Rockhampton Weather here, calm and humid.

Winds are Westerly, would prefer them to be coming off the sea .

Not sure why BOM says 27 deg tomorrow . Hope it is correct.

This sounds interesting...

Forecast for Wednesday

The surface low will continue to weaken off the Central Coast while ridging will firm from the south along most of the east coast in the wake of the S'ly wind change. The fresh onshore wind flow will produce scattered showers and areas of rain about the Central and Capricorn Coasts. More isolated showers and storms over the remaining northern and eastern parts of Queensland, with isolated showers for the southern areas. Fine weather will continue over the west and southwest of the state.

I don't get the last 2 nights (tonight and last night)

Nearly 100 percent humidity and W'ly aspect to the wind, yet no rain.

Seems crazy to have that high humidity and no rain in it !!

Forecast today is

Light to moderate SE to NE winds, fresh to strong and gusty about the coast at times. Fire Danger: Moderate to High.

No wind at all at the moment, lets hope they are correct !, Also says Showers and Possible Storm, again lets hope they are right.

Well turns out as I thought, 30 deg today not 27 deg in Yeppoon. Winds have now gone moderate , definitely not strong and gusty !!

Was only partly cloudy this morning now clear skies.

Unless the rain falls late tonight the forecast was completely wrong.

Great downpour here in Emerald this arvo, reckon it was heavier on south side, dropping kids off over on south side and it was fairly heavy. Only 3.3 in guage here at home which is the north side.

Seriously Emeraldites where are you all?? Usually a drop of rain has everyone coming out of the woodworks. Looks like we will get some more sprinkles tonight.
The last two days have been totally disgusting and hot, forgot to leave air cons on when I went to work on Monday and the temp inside the house at 6:30pm when I arrived home was 36 degrees. Hoping the rain will cool things down.

Looking at Wzone it says humidity will be only in the mid 40 percents with dew points of only 17 deg, so if that turns out correct that will be much welcome.

Very windy at the moment. Radar has rain on land, but not sure with the wind direction if it will make its way to the coast.

How does the house get to 36 deg ?, warmest ours gets up to with every thing closed and then coming home would be 30 deg.

Even Emerald should notice some dryer air and even lower humidity soon, Weatherzone saying humidity as low as 40 percent between Friday and Monday afternoon. Min temps of 18 deg. Dew points of 16/17 deg.

I'm looking forward to 30 deg on Friday with only 40 percent humidity !

I'm back from holidays - yay! I just walked outside and thought it felt different. Almost, dare I say - a little chill in the air. Current temp meant to be 22C but it does feel a pinch cooler out there.
