I thought the line would have died off by now, but it seems to be gathering intensity as it moves along. It's moving very slowly. Wonder what some of the rain totals were under storms? Keep in mind that is all monsoonal infeed.
I still can't believe the length of it. Would that be some kind of record? No one game to hazard a guess at its length?

At first i thought that the Lines Origins or Moisture Feed went out Direct West of Exmouth . But in the last Ten minutes , the WZ lighting Tracker has indicated a line heading Nth of Exmouth aswell . ( Out flow from the SSE Flank of the LUA ) ....

Probably a result of it ( LUA ) finally having a Bit of Sth in its Trajectory , this shift has seen the Dry air Intrusion to its South close off . which Should see fairly strong intensification , and Providing that the Moisture Feed still maintains its weak connection , that Totals of our own line of Storms should Crescendo in the Wee hours of the Morning ....... ( Broken Catchment ???? ) .

Just had a very loud long rumble of thunder. Some gusts of very strong wind as well hitting the windows with the rain. Hope they hold up.
Just love this sort of weather when you are waiting for someone to drive home from the city in it. It must be headed to Melb by now.

Looks like their is more activity going around Daylesford, so looks like this will go on for awhile yet.

I have never heard such long rumbles of thunder !

I am very interested in why, when there are severe storms in NW Victoria, they seem to collapse when they cross the Metropolitan border? This has happened too often recently. The radar is lit up like a Christmas Tree, then just flattens. It is like it just evaporates?

It seems to quality not quantity these days. Some biblically intense lightning and loud thunder for a few minutes then just flattens.

Caught some truly stunning forked lightning on camera, just branched out across the sky grin

Otherwise, a rather lamish storm front here, more of a rainband now, just gusty winds and gentle rain outside, a welcome relief after the unsettling heat and humidity over the last few days smile
