Wonder how far that massive line out West will make it.

I think BSCH coincides way too much with only the lifted index levels, at the moment they're forecasted to be rather low.

Had 5mm at Red Cliffs, and still plenty of thunder all around. Had an interesting experience about 1 hour ago. Our little dog Peppie, suddenly started growling, barking and acting darn scared. We soon found out why, about 10 seconds later. Hugh bolt of lightning shot above the house, and the crack of thunder, nearly burst our eardrums. If he does it again sometime, I'll start running. grin wink

There is a huge line from Mildura to Charlton. Will this move to the SW or SE? Considering last night I saw lightning over Kinglake which is 45km away. I am northeast border of Ivanhoe East.

I'd still be running if that'd happened to me!!

Too soon since my last lightning ear drum destroying experience before I left Cairns .

This system has gotten more and more stalled as we got closer to it, not sure about tommorow for central areas, probably only early hours before the wind change.

Looking on radar at what is coming down from Maryborough, into Daylesford, wondering if it might head further north east but it seems to be continuing on down south. Very patchy as well, usually if anything reaches Ballan we get it so unless the wind changes direction tonight I can't see much for us.

Hi Things,

Wouldn't you know it. As soon as I went back out after the last post, it happened again. And just now, another close one somewhere. Not very good for the nerves at all. Peppie is now hidden under the table. Maybe I'll join him.

Ouch! Holly --------- Either something to the south just took a direct hit, or the sky just fell to earth. It was deafening and the earth shook. Actually for the noise that's going on, there doesn't seem to be a lot of cloud around.

Usually if a bolt hits a close structure it would create the big explosion like vibration quite scary and exciting at the same time smile . Patiently waiting for it to get here.

There seems to be more rain building now on radar and I think we are in for a drenching very soon, but is it really a lot of storm activity with it ?

Im suprised that ACCESSG have put out such low rainfall totals considering BOM are saying 8-20mm tommorow. Doubt it Tommy, it'll backbuild, and the trough is still going to deepen, weather waves and maps are still going for the majority of rain overnight.

The coldfront pushing through tommorow morning will bring about the change in wind and the humidity levels.
