Yeah that sounds right. Good find Boomer. A moat not a splice. haha. cheers

Ahh give the boys a few more eyewall crossings and 60 minutes and National Geographic will hopefully want to speak to them. Not just 30 seconds on a news real. It would all help no doubt in the meantime.

80 mile caravan park looks ok....

http://news.smh.com.au/breaking-news-nat...0317-1vbky.html

"Peter Morris, the supervisor of the 80 Mile Beach Caravan Park, told AAP it looked as if the property had avoided severe damage, with a lot of wind and rain coming through but only the odd tree branch down in the park.

"We did expect to lose everything the way it looked earlier on.

"We were wiped out in 2009 in Cyclone Laurence which was a category 5 with just about every building smashed to pieces."

Mr Morris said the buildings had all since been replaced and had the highest-possible cyclone rating.

He said only five people were remained the park after all visitors and some staff left in recent days.

Robyn and John Forrester, the managers of the nearby Wallal Downs cattle station, locked up their property and were sheltering at the holiday park.

"You sit here in total apprehension of what you're going to find when you go home," Ms Forrester said."

OK Dok, that also explains the mostly roadhouse footage. Plenty smashed trees and the rain/wind was howling

I noticed this footage on you tube. Someone's great timelapse footage of driving around town and is what nearly the whole town was doing as LUA was appraoching the coast. If you live here it makes more sense but it is pretty fast paced.
