25mm here in BP from 7am-5pm today. 884mm for the month and 1606mm for the year so far.

The winds are very strange indeed fnq, almost oiminous of something happening. If the models are anything to go by, tomorrow will be the last day of action before tappering off considerably frown

The BOM four-day forecast shows no rain at all between Innisfail and Bowen on Friday. Looks quite strange after the colourful charts we've been seeing over the past few weeks. I suppose things have to dry out sometime :-(

Nice totals Pac and everyone up there.

Just had a rip roaring storm, sounded like a freight train through the trees. Emptied the gauge again as was about to overflow, so from 8am til 6pm we had 125ml smile

Getting the wind but very little of the rain. It's all going past about 500m to the west of me. Would not even have 20mm yet for the day.

We seem to be in a strong NE flow, check out Low Isles- experiencing gusts to 65km/hr http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDQ60801/IDQ60801.94285.shtml

What a classic. Did anyone watch win - Burnsie weather. Cracked me up. He was getting up the southern media for exaggerating the weather up here.

Moonlight, you sure are coping it again tonight. Similar setup to last night feeding through Kuranda and onto the tablelands.

Most of Cairns seems to be sandwiched between 2 rain bands missing out in the middle.

Getting slammed out here in the inlet, a couple of boats trying to move on sunset because they are dragging there anchor and getting smashed by squalls and a stong inflowing tide. The seaplain is also getting smashed with the swells and windwaves hitting the marina wall and rebounding back. Will be interesting when the tide turns and the tide is against the wind.

The heavy rain should be back in the next 20 minutes or so. I've seen a couple of flashes to the south also in the past half an hour.

Nope, missed Burnsie- but I agree with the Cairns 'sandwiching'! Have been watching the radar & now think that maybe the traditional 'Yorkeys bubble' has now extended for now!!!!!!!!!!!!
