When it went through us at Jimboomba it dropped 12.6mm in 30 mins at max rain rate of 68.3mm, with the worst in the first 5 mins. It was an interesting drive to pick the son up from school, but when I got the camera out for the trip back home it had stopped raining more or less, and the water had mainly drained off other than a few places that normally have the pools of water in the rain had them.
Edit: wind gusted up to 33.1 kph

Well just went outside to have a look and this is what I could see! 3.38PM
It's looking very dark!

It is pelting down here... lightning and thunder... just waiting to lose power, tho maybe not right where I am as we are on the same grid as the private hospital so dont often lose power thankfully
rather suprising storm here, I didn't see it coming! Started as a sprinkle, moving to heavy rain, then wind, and then thunder! Got a fair bit of rain, AP has recorded 2ml, I have 35ml in our gauge.

yes swamp-lady, its amazing the difference between the airport and in town measurements. I would guess we got over 40 here where I am. I didnt get my gauge out in time (but will check with my next door neighbours in the morning). Reports on facebook of flash flooding in the usual places.
When i got home tonight i was wondering why it was so wet then i found out that we got 15.6mm in around 25/30mins. i didnt even know there was something on radar hahahaha

Well, my donut hole certainly lived up to its reputation. Just as that storm (or rather, it's remains) approached, the rain decided to head east. Total today: 0mm.
