Was a beautiful morning for the Dawn Service, wasn't chilly at all, and what a fantastic turn out, very proud of the large number of students who turned out from my school it was a lovely sea of green blazers.

Compared to last night, what a difference. Humidity has dropped but apart from that, back to below 20 deg mins again.

Bit chilly here this morning. Should be just what my soft fruit trees need though.

Interesting weather, this morning around 2am the wind changed to SW and the dew points and humidity have gone to like when I was in Perth levels , 9 deg dew point and humidity around 50 percent. The night before was still and humid and yicky with a straight out Easterly.

Looks good for rainfall here, not that we really need it. Going by current predictions, tomorrow could be 17 to 39mm and Saturday 17-60mm.

Currently on 19.4 deg SSW wind light, Rocky's feels like temp is only 14 deg.

Had a laugh at this...though I suppose for Rocky that is cold .
BOM

Forecast for Friday

Rockhampton: Rain, possible storm. Min 15Max 23

Rockhampton at high risk of flooding: report
By Paul Robinson, Thursday April 26, 2012 - 13:40 EST

A confidential report has found most of Rockhampton in central Queensland would be affected in the event of an extreme flood.

Rockhampton Regional Council commissioned an engineers report last year into the city's flood risks but was not included in the Queensland Floods Inquiry.

The report by Aurecon Consulting estimated the impacts of a 12.3 metre flood, which is considered the maximum probable flood level for Rockhampton.

Rockhampton's worst recorded flood was 10.1 metres in 1918.

The final report said a 12.3 metre flood would see most of North Rockhampton underwater.

On the southside, higher parts of The Range, Wandal and Rockhampton City would be spared from flooding.

Think Yeppoon and Rocky will miss out on this event now.

Well what a chilly, wet old day. 11.1 on my weather station, but think we have had more as it may have reset sometime during the day.
Currently 13 degrees on my station - actually put on the heater.

Big drops of rain just fell out of the sky...............and then stopped. I'm sure that's not the end as the radar shows it all travelling down the coast, and inland too (just looked at Emerald radar) cold wet rain............miss summer already

Hey LisaEmld, I'm a woose too. Having grown up in Cairns I dread the cooler months, I can never keep warm. I have already switched to J.D & dry, too cold for beer. The ground is wet, but I'm sure it will actually start to rain soon........

Warm and dry in Rocky today, low humidity .

A bit of sun in Yeppoon and not too humid or too dry.

Then this afternoon it has started raining in the past hour, not much yet.

Just how surreal was today in the midlands of Emerald; felt more like southland, South Island NZ!

Maximum temperature of 14.1 degrees with 28mm precip. recorded until 5.30pm...
