Darwin CBD has just been hit by a very intense thunderstorm which has formed out of a very low moisture profile, checked radar and sat about two hours ago and their was nothing. Same thing happened last night i think, though it wasnt like this. No severe weather warning, but it definately ended up being severe as it swept the city. Rain has started to slow now, would have been about 10mm all up.

Darwin weather for April has been unusually dry though today is going to be the last day of dry weather till the dry season proper in 2 weeks, a tropical low is now making a westward track across the northern nt coastline with storm fronts most likley to start arriving in the cbd from tomorrow night.
