Evening all,

it's getting to that time of year again!!! (19 days to go for me)

Clyve's already over in the US - not chasing atm, but working on the 'chasebase' in Hillsboro, Kansas with his brother and son (who are over there for a month). A couple of road trips planned and a stormchase possible this week for them. Keep your eyes out for a dark blue Chevy Traverse with ASWA stickers.

I get on the plane to the USA on April the 14th and am back in Oz in early June. Michael King will join us again in mid-late May.

Lots of Aussie chasers going over this year - so I'm sure we'll all meet either under a meso or in a Macca's at some stage>>> smile

Full reports will start appearing http://www.stormchasers.au.com/aussky2012usa.htm

The Herbert men downed their paintbrushes and were off chasing around the Council Grove and Dunlap area east of Hillsboro, Kansas this afternoon. Hail to tennis ball size (the car now has been christened with a hail dent or two) and a rotating wall cloud. Waiting for photos......

Wishing you all the best, LOVE your reports and images. Can't wait for more amazing shots of classic US, trains, wall clouds and all the usual fun and games. Looks like not much action for a while once the next week is over - mid April could be a great time to arrive.

I'm hoping that a lot of the activity for the first few weeks is in the south central Kansas, northern Oklahoma areas as we have some commitments to working on a house for a while that will keep us 'local'. The longer chases will be later in May (unless they are really droolworthy)

Not long now for you Jane. I guess you hope its not TOO local, dont want too many of those stones hitting the house windows.
