Heater at 14°C, no way. 14 is a lovely pleasant temperature, just cool enough to get the jumpers out. I don't even think about heaters until the temp is below 3°.

I was speaking with Ree on the weekend and she suggested that some of you may be interested in a bit of photography talk at the meet? I'd be happy to put something together if anyone's interested, just let me know A - if you're interested B - what areas you'd like to discuss I will warn you though, I can dribble on about photography for a loooong time

Noooo! OK, it can rain on Thursday & maybe even Friday, if it has to. Saturday has to be fine though. A good friend is getting married at Conway Beach on Saturday & we don't need to get wet. What do you think our chances are RR? Anyone? Luna, I'm bringing my laptop to the meet, so if anyone wants to know about Photoshop stuff, you will be able to show them that as well. You & Ree are much better at that than I am, Don't forget folks,CC&W Meeting, 19th May, The Leap Hotel, 11am. The more people who come along the better it will be. Don't be shy, we're all friends here.

Really depends on the speed of the predicted movement of the upper level systems, this is from the BoM's extended outlook. "Outlook for Saturday, Sunday and Monday The upper level trough is expected to progress slowly eastwards over the southwestern interior during Friday, and become reinforced by a new upper system over the weekend. This will maintain extensive cloud, rain areas and thunderstorms over the tropics, with some moderate to heavy falls may develop about the coast and nearby inland from the North Tropical Coast to Fraser Island. Some rain areas are also likely to extend into the southeast on Saturday, before clearing offshore by Sunday. "

Rain is looking more than likely for the upcoming weekend Nthqlndr, especially on Saturday.
PME is going for falls around 50mm on Saturday, OCF and GFS also showing good totals for Sat.
EC is in agreement showing showers increasing on Thursday, Rain Periods on Friday, Further Rain periods on Saturday, Showers on Sunday, clearing to just coastal showers on Monday.
Looking like it'll be cool too! Minimums on the weekend around the 14 to 16 mark, maximums if the rain comes off only around the 19 to 23 mark I'd think.

Models are keen on Cool conditions with the expected rainfall over the weekend.
GFS is the most extreme with this temperature forecast: Fri 1am: 15°C Fri 7am: 15°C Fri 10am: 14°C Fri 1pm: 14°C Fri 4pm: 13°C Fri 7pm: 13°C
I've been having really good results lately from WeatherUnderground's BestForecast model (when set to use data recorded from my own weather station), it shows temps rising to 26°C here on Friday around Midday, before quickly dropping to 15°C by 4pm Friday afternoon.
EC is similar to WU's model, with a maximum around the 24°C mark then a drop to about 16°C by Mid-afternoon Friday.
OCF/the BOM's forecast are the most conservative of the lot.
Back to what I was saying before about WU. My station reports to the WeatherUnderground website, and I've noticed it produces it's own forecast from it's "BestForecast" model based on the data collected by the selected weather station. I've set it to display forecast data based on my weather station and have been checking it out over the last week and have found it to be incredibly accurate. Correctly forecasting the minimum and maximum temperatures nearly every day for the last week, it even correctly forecast the minimum of 14°C I had here a few days ago.

Thanks for the Birthday Wishes everyone. Sadly no storms today Lee, but with a bit of luck we may get the odd rumble of thunder over the next few days. Looking forward to seeing you all at the meet next month...
