quiet in Ingham, nice little line out west, nothing to rugged though, interesting rain to south around Brisbane, lots of rain out to sea that wants to come in but it's looking really sluggish...not doing much fast..

I smelt smoke this arvo wafting down from the dam / Kelso area.
I didn't think it would be long before the little darlings decided to stop stealing cars and return to arson for kicks.
Still no rain here.
Going to be a tad cooler by the feel of the night air.

Good evening all. Haven't been on for a few days, started 2 new jobs, the stupid car **** its self and had to go to Rocky for kids rep afl. But the plus side of the road trip was "I saw and experienced rain" Yep I looked like at total DH getting excited by the rain.

Not real bright at Deeragun/Burdell, they sit across railway lines when waiting for traffic lights...

We were sitting in the loop waiting to cross another train. That train appeared about 1 minute later doing 50km/h...

Frightening Thomo and even more so when the numpty parked on the line would more than likely think that he wasn't doing anything wrong and if he did get hit would blame everyone but himself for what happened.

No rain out my way. Smoke smells has abatted after a couple of hours to. Couple of sirens out my way earlier on but it has quietened down again.

Night all.

morning all,
wish the bom would stop putting 'a few showers' on the 4 day forecast, then 1 day out drop it back to 'just a brief shower or two' or 'chance of a brief shower'.
keep holding off watering in hope of a few showers, but it has yet to eventuate. total of 3 trace days recorded this month, that it is it.

of interest, all models are showing a rainbadn linked to a cold front and possible ECL off NSW coast next week. all models indicated this will happen, just a matter of how much rain, if any, will be in it. GFS forecasting the most.

In reply to Thomo's picture......this is exactly the type of idiot that the state government has tried to stop from getting injured by installing magic boom gates on a lot of our LX's

Still a chance something may spin up in the Coral Sea before the end of the month guys. OK so its only %1/%99 but there is still a chance.

Had to put the sprinklers on yesterday. Not happy Jan.

Negligible rainfall predicted by the models for at least 2 weeks locally. 3 weeks from now Townsville will be brownish.

If you think it's bad now, wait until the next wet season (and maybe the one after that) when we go back to below average seasons because of El Nino.

My guess? Dec/Jan/Feb will see falls about 50% below normal. The storm season should be MUCH better this year though.

LOL Damn my dyslexia I thought you had posted El Nitso ROFL.

Yeah I think we are over due for the dry wet seasons again. That doesn't mean no Wet Season or no Cyclones, just means very patchy and no where near what we have had in the last 5 years or so.

0mm in April is rare. Usually we get some sort of se surge once or twice resulting in drizzle or 10mm or so.

Shhhhh you!

I'm banking on the 'fuzzy logic' methodology.

Fuzzy logic? Isn't that what happens about my 7th rum?

Looking back over the last 9 years I average 33.5mm for April. I sure hope it gets here soon.
