Nice entree to what will be a very good event tomorrow! Kudos to the BOM (again) for issuing a STW after the cells had passed the airport and CBD. Good to see nothing has changed at Docklands!
really dark cloudsd starting to build up to the SE of the CBD....some clouds lower than the eureka skydeck and looked to be slightly truning but thats peobably me

Tomorrow looks better Ant as the low pressure trough moves in. S VIC could well see falls up to 30-50mm if things go well. Expecting a Severe Weather Warning for Damaging Winds as BOM expect avg wind speeds to be around 50-60 kmh.
No, I think a line similar to what we we have seen yesterday and today would be likely. Some cold temps being thrown in with this low pressure system so it will mix well for a few decent storms.
Have already received 25mm since yesterday, so I'd be disappointed if I don't tip out 50mm by Anzac Day evening.
Greater Melbourne Catchments (Werribee, Maribyrnong, Yarra, Dandenong And Bunyip) Barwon, Moorabool, Leigh and Hovells Creek Catchments and Otway Ranges
BOM suggesting falls between 60 & 100mm for Tuesday into Wednesday.
Ok...here goes practicing loading images here. Hope I don't muck up your pages loading These were taken at 2.30 pm in Wantirna, heading into a monster. Not the best shots, but was in the car The best pic opportunities were to the left of me.

Nice one Duckweather!
I'm a bit behind...these were what I saw last night as the sun was setting. I had to make do with what I had. If I went anywhere else for a 'better' view, I would have missed the best part.
I still can't believe just how much thunder there was rumbling away today...was perfect!
3mm yesterday, 5mm from this afternoon's activity.
Ta and beautiful shots Stormygirl I have this cell on video as the colours changed - it was spectacular. Just noticed the 'date' showing below my images is incorrect. Checked the camera time-set and says correct date 'today' Ok...just worked it out...the date on imageshack is U.S. date.
About 3 sharp heavy shower periods here today, no storms, I'd guess 5mm at Wonthaggi to the delight of some, also see Pound Creek 5k's E of Inverloch tallied 13mm today.
Tomorrow should be wicked down this way acc. to AccR (other models focus rain W circa Lorne). Might be an interesting trip back to home over the Strezleckiis later in the arvo.
its down to 9.4C here and its cold. Still in a Northerly wind so i guess the coldest air is still far away. Bring on the Hail tomorrow!! going for just 14c tomorrow but should be below 10 during the downpours brrrrrr.
Nice shots everyone. Well for all you in the Melb and Gisspsland areas a good rainband is happeing and lookslike you guys are going to get smashed by rain. Not looking like we will get too much this way. Was incredibly windy here yesterday. Will check in later to see how it all pans out for you guys.
