Bit guttered by that result, thought the Suns would have got a win there. Great to see Sheeds boys get their first win though.

Tigers are back!

Fantastic win over Sydney, are a genuine chance now of making finals and the competition is taking notice... came so close to beating Geelong and WCE and were competitive against Collingwood as well so it has been a very good year so far.

Watch the Richmond fans come out in force now. Next week is the big Dreamtime game against Essendon and it will be absolutely huge. There will be a massive crowd and massive voice. Great to see some of the biggest Melbourne clubs back in the fray.

The bombers are giving West Coast a smashing tonight. Hard and tough at the ball. They're a lethal 'weapon' this year. Go boys!

Next week going to be big at the G.

Great win by the bummers, er bombers. Also by the tigers and cows, er crows. Cant remember if i went for GWS or GC but i may have all my tips right atm. Suddenly the injury toll may be impacting on teams more than we think.

Tigers vs Dons should be a cracker, if we can get 2 big scalps in a row we're genuine chances of making the finals, we lost to the blues, pies, west coast and Geelong at kardinia, in all 4 of those matches we had a 5 minute fade out, we'll need to be playing our best to beat the bombers.

Terrible tipping for me atm but how about those CROWS!!!!!!!!!!! Fantastic effort to beat Geelong and play as well as they did. Fast, attacking footy and dominant in the contested ball-winning. The kids that have promised so much are finally starting to mature now, great to see and some very good kids still to come and debut. Good times ahead.

Essendon also definitely impressing, not dropping games they would have in the past.

Next few years is going to be Ess/Adel/WCE/Carl dominating that top 4. Hawks will also be around the mark but perhaps they have already peaked this year and maybe next.

TS cool

certainly a change in the competition TS, the ladder is tighter, those games against teams that you think are easy tips are no longer. great to see some teams like adelaide, richmond and my boys standing up.

Richmond can only become a top 4 team if they follow up top 4 scalps with wins against teams they should win against. (They lost to Melbourne, Gold Coast and Port last year, the Port match was after their great win verse Essendon.)

Well, one of the good things about this year is that we thrashed Melbourne and Port Adelaide, so it seems we're no longer dropping those sort of games. We have been competitive against some genuine top 8 contenders this year and knocked off one of them.

From what I am observing, Hardwick and co. seem to have finally knocked out the defective culture at the club. Skills, pace and endeavour are the best they have been since 1995 IMO, also there is a genuine game plan in place that all the players are following, they are becoming a better drilled side. The physical side of things has improved as well with more effective tackles, sheperds and general defensive pressure.

Next week against Essendon is going to be a very tough ask though as they are the form team of the comp right now.

bombers were the same last year, defeating the likes of carlton, geelong, st kilda, we went a had big losses to richmond, port and roos. you know your team is on the up when you take care of the teams you were loosing too last year.
from a bombers point of view, with the side we have now, still Hurley, Winderlich, Hille, Gumbleton, Prismall and Hibbard to return. We are really gaining some depth this year, last years injuries are paying off with the 2nd ranked players getting more game time in 2011.
So we can take our time bringing these guys back in and start rotating before the bye in a months time.

Gumbers will be making his game debut for the Bendigo side in a couple weeks time. I think it may be the last roll of the dice for him. He has always been touted as another Franklin, but injuries have cost him dearly.

Great to see Richmond win this week, i love it when they are on the up, makes the Dreamtime game all the more epic. Geeze, you certainly can't underestimate the mark that Sheedy has had on the game, all of the innovative programs that he's brought to the game is truly awesome. It's great that he keeps on giving with the GWS.

I think the dark horse is the Crows this year... if they create a cauldron of the late 90's then winning at AAMI will be nigh impossible, so that takes care of 11 or so wins. Now they are building belief, winning on the road will become easier. Their midfield is starting to shape up to a powerful force. I think now all they need is a Mcleod type of explosive outside player to really carve up in the middle of the ground. I think that's where Essendon has really improved this year.

its not just the speed of the bombers midfield im impressed with this year, but also our attack on goal out of that midfield. the past years we have lacked the small rover to pop up and kick the goal from the loose ball. this year, jetta and davey have stepped up, along with monfries and zaharakis its really paying off, those 2 or 3 goals a game these players are providing are making a real difference.
i will be interested in seeing where (if) they play Hille. Crameri has been strong up forward, but needs to learn to kick straight. wouldnt mind seeing Hille playing up forward more so in the ruck.

The offensive pressure , and all round pressure on the opposition to well after they've disposed of it has been the marked difference this year ....
that , depth , and their stronger players being fitter . Generally they look Physically stronger across the board , Watsons getting wiser and has even taken to kicking the ball on occasion where he's managed to get himself away from pressure . Stanton's got a bit of confidence back , and others stepping up to rotate more quality through the midfield has helped ....

Its Our Year , the draw looks good . Will give the top 2 a rattle .

Well i questioned my sanity when i tipped the power to win today but by jingoes how happy was i when they came back from 34 points down in the last qtr to win the game. We still have a few passengers but a couple of the lesser "names" had brilliant last qtrs. Umpires put the whistle away in the last qtr which i dont mind but gee when they miss the really obvious ones i scratch my head.. Go the POWER!! grin
