So note the single digit temperatures for Emerald area this long weekend. An extra feature of these conditions will be the almost non existent winds. Those of you who have tipped an early and colder winter appear to be on track.

And looking further ahead the following weekend will see another rain event particularly for the CQ area.

Long weekend ? Easter, Anzac Day and another public holiday - Labour Day ?

Kaz, it is the usual way isn't it. I am expecting lots of cold drizzly weekends till the end of July because I will spend half of those camped in the horse float in paddocks.

At least I have power mostly to run my little heater.

No closer to home this time, up to Theresa Creek. Haven't camped there before did a day trip and it was lovely.

Reason for asking was I think in WA where I lived before, that Labour day was in October.

Saturday through till Tuesday according to Weatherzone we should see cool min temps and low humidity and dew points. Still 14 deg is quite mild for me. Below 12 or below would be cold for me.

Supposed to be windy today but not too bad, not annoyingly gusty.

Looking forward to a sunny clear blue sky all day, haven't seen one of those in Yeppoon for a while and when we do it doesn't last more than a few days.

Weatherzone now thinks Yeppoon will not see cold nights and two nights of 14 and rest 15 deg. Emerald the coldest.

What! Burnsie is going. Now that is very sad.

Yep, camping for us this weekend also. Off to the Barcy Rev Fest. Yeehaaa. Will be packing the winter PJ's for that one.

Hello people there is a storm warning out and no one is here to natter with about our chances!!??

Hiya Kaz. I'm thinking our chances are zero. Did this just come out of nowhere or was it forcast? I have been very slack at keeping tabs on the weather of late.

They did have storms forecast yesterday but changed it this morning, looks like they are well to the south anyway.
