Yes, finally, the cloud lifted today! How many days was that - seemed like the sun disappeared forever.

Looks like some wet weather on its way later in the week though. Currently 12.2 degrees in Brunswick, but should be colder tonight than previous nights, now that the skies have cleared.

Malissa, you'll find June is a fair bit colder than May. Average max. in June is 14, May is 17, July is 13.

We have another high that seems to be blocking the weather in the bight, there is some good stuff off the Nulllabor plain and going up the East coast towards and at Sydney. It is a perfidious High.

May is nice, not to hot not to cold but many years ago used to be wet.

June used to be cold, wet and windy. Now just omit the wet part. I personally would not call it cold but I can take really cold weather.

July is the month I hate, there are a lot of grey days. I can stand rain, I can stand freezing below zero temps, just not grey clouds.

Yesterday and Today are the quintessential Autumn/Winter days but we need rain and storms.

thanks i have taken note of that. I just hope next year for melbourne winter season dosn't end up been a hot one due to el nino or the nina or heatwaves or a hot year of the month distortion the winter into heat.

lots of snow at Mt Macedon on the weekend. settled down to 750m on sat morning. we had about 3cm settled on the ground.

0.4C at 11am max of 4C at 5pm

6C to 7.4C sunday with a bit of sun every now and then. all the snow was gone by sunday morning

-0.2C minimum this morning, first sub zero temp for the year, roads were a bit icy. Low cloud has formed early tonight so stuck on 6.6C.

Fine and sunny today after morning fog and frost patches. Temp reached to 15 degrees.

You're not wrong there Mel! It was cold enough yesterday (Min 4.6C), and this morning it's 4.1C on my weather station. Would love to know a ground temp in the open (mine is recorded under the south-side eaves).

Coldest May morning in 27 years. 2.7c it was in the city.
