Maybe a little rain for the weekend. That trough / low looks good on the satellite at the moment but will probally get drawn to the south. Who knows would be nice to get a downpoor and some soaking run off for this winters feed to our dams.

Well a good soaking it was with over 60 ml Sat / Sun night in my guage from that little system.
Looks good for further showers later in the week with another trough / low developing. Would be nice to see a repeat.
I wonder if any inflow into dams has yet occured ?

Well looks like the most powerfull cold front so far this season is on its way. Have had most of our rain from lows from the north with very little wind.
Will be nice to get a blow and hopefully add to what has been a good start to the season rain wise.

Wind is picking up in Perth and are about to get the tail of this front. The south capes had a good blow today. Will make for a interesting peak hour or 4 drive on the way home.

Not much in that front for Perth. Got a good blow for a hour or two. Plenty of crap in the pool. Only a few ml of rain. maybe a bit more over night.

Any reports of coastal flooding? Today was pretty close to highest astronomical tide and there would have been a decent storm surge on top of it.

No Blair I dont think so. Its normally Busselton and Mandurah to the south of Perth that are lower than Perth metro area.
I have however seen Cottesloes famous indiana teahouse and surfclub under threat a few times. Very old and close to sea level.
The only other part of perth that floods is riverside drive along the Swan River. Hate to see what will hapen after the big foreshore development that is now on the go?

I was on my cycling jersey and shorts to work at 7am at the speed of 30km/h. That's really freezing

Looks like Perth set a new record low temperature for May this morning of 1.3C @ 7am , breaking the previous low of 2.4C back in 27th May 2004

Don't forget it was -0.6 deg (minus 0.6) in Jandakot, feels like -2.4 deg (minus 2.4)

Has warmed up the last few nights. A quick cold front passing Perth on Thursday will bring a bit of moisture at last. I think we got more rain in summer with lows from the north than in the last 4 weeks.
I think this front will pass quickley with a return to sunny conditions for the long weekend.

I hope Perth gets a winter soon so that means our dry season can begin.

Vinnie, looks like a bit of rain on way for s/west this week but from a slow moving low to the west. Not a normal start to winter with off shore winds for the last 5 days. Very little rain and farmers are just hanging out for something to get the season moving.

Some good rain at the moment in the northern suburbs of Perth. Tommorow looking the goods as this low moves closer to the coast. Temps have droped over the last few hours also.
Sunday looks good with a second low coming down the coast. I recon it will be our best week of rain so far this season. A little unusual for two lows to deliver as Perth usually gets the strong cold fronts this time of year. Will be interesting to see how it pans out.
Looks like the central west and gascoyne will also benefit from these systems. Lets hope the farmers get a soaking.

Yeah it all the talk in Perth.
New severe thunderstorm warning issued by the bureau at 3pm wst.
Sunny outside now with radar showing clear conditions for a bit. Still a bit more rain to come I think.
some great pics on Perth now.com
Looking foward to Sunday/Mon with that second system. Is just what Perth needed as its been so dry.
