Yea has been a bit of a let down up here I haven't even got so much as 1 drop out of it yet though EC has a shower surge pushing up from the south sunday into monday so I hold on to hope that this can give me something semi worthwhile.

Recorded 1.5mm here this morning.
Thank goodness the models are starting to show at least some sort of consistency with the weak upper low/trough on Mon-Tues... Hopefully see 5mm or so in most areas. Of course not really enough..... Will need a decent front in the next couple of weeks for sure I think for the farmers!

Yep , same here TIM, 1.5 mm as well, i did expect a little more than that, but it's enough to keep the lawn watered for a few days.

Thanks Redbucket for that info on Curnamona and the 10 mm report too The heaviest fall I can find among the official aws guages is Moomba Airport with 31 mm since 9am Thursday, and looking at the BoM map of rainfall in the past 7 days looks like much of the far far north-east had quite usefull falls. When I drove to the shops yesterday arvo it was raining but it was just a few scattered tiny drops on the windscreen. Drying faster than it was wetting. Here's hoping as Roves says for some showers still to come.

I see it's a complex state forecast for the next three days and the latest BoM four-day rainfall predictions are: "Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday morning until midnight Wednesday are expected to be 10 to 20 mm near southern coasts, 5 to 15 mm near western coasts and 1 to 5 mm over the remainder." This is not done yet

Definitely not done yet... the upper low forming in western VIC will move to eastern SA later today bringing a reasonable rain event to parts of central & eastern SA!
Models now suggesting 20-30mm in some central and eastern areas of the state by Tuesday! With a minimum amount of 10mm, so will keep the farmers happy for the moment...
Also a chance of some storms along the SE coast, and Mallee this arvo, extending to sth coasts and Fleurieu overnight.

I see " Chance of a Thunderstorm" in the forecast now... i highly doubt we will see anything except Heavy downpours and maybe the odd small hail.

Actually todays drizzle turned into a very surprising 5 mm with 3 or 4 showers containing the goods. More on the way tonight / tommorow as others have said. could get up to 20 + mm for some. I'd expect nothing less than another 5 + mm for myself. Could get another 10 - 15 on the other end of the scale.

Had a couple of decent showers today here in Brighton, one around lunchtime which was very heavy and caused the gutters down jetty road to be a minor torrent for 5mins or so and another about an hr ago nearly which had 5seconds of small hail towards then end and was very abrupt in nature, stopping almost instantly. Now we have showers tending to a nice rainband pushing up around the wrap around from this nice little sfc low/upper low combo, good comvergence on the western flank which is where we are which with assistance from orographic lifting often provides good totals for the Adelaide Metro and Mt.Lofty Ranges. 10-20mm generally but isol falls to 30-40mm are definitely possible, most likely in the hills. Most will fall from this band before things turn back to showers and drizzle areas (lots of drizzle patches lately too). Good to keep those totals ticking along. Really must get my gauge outside, too bloody slack! TS
