Ensembles from EC, GFS, etc have been suggesting the possibility of a tropical low or typhoon forming near the Philipines by early next week before curving northeastwards towards the heavily populated parts of southern Japan. If this scenario occurs, it could be a close call or worst case scenario, a hit.
