Just arrived back at my home base.
Snow Report: Barrington Tops
Arrived at Dingo gate 17:00 - light drizzle.
Proceded to Polblue camp ground - Intermittent snow showers consisting of (to use the Kellogs scale of texture) rice bubbles when windy to soggy cornflakes while calm. Snow was not staying on the ground for more than a few minutes.
Drove around my usual loop (Paddy's Ridge to Tomalla and return to Polblue via Pheasant Ck) and encountered everything from "a few flakes" to "slow right down and dip the lights". Snow gave way to rain at approx 1250M ASL.
Left polblue at 18:30 - similar conditions to when I arrived.
Departed from Dingo gate at 19:00 - fat flakes were falling.
Considering the radar animation for the last few hours, I believe there may be enough snow in the morning to risk the NPWS lockout syndrome. Let's hope they don't do it.
Cheers, Scott.
