After 10 years in Hobart where storms were almost non existent, I'm sort of used to not having them although being back in Bathurst is allowing a new fascination for them.
NZ is simply stunning that's for sure especially for a snow lover like me. So many magic mountains with easy access (at least to the base of them)

Wanaka & Queenstown areas just blow me away. The trip from Te Anau to Milford would be icy much of the time now. I remember skating through there a few years ago in ye ole hire car in May, quite exciting at times above the Homer tunnel.
