Someones moved the layout around a bit, so hope i'm not in breach of some WZ laws by this post (hopefully right place) but just thought i'd re-emerge to say we have had just over 100mm in last 24 hrs.
one of the strangest rain events i've witnessed, whatever the system was it just sat on top of us all nite - almost stationary and just kept raining....... 10 mm in one 20 min period about 4am.
no troubles here on the farm, we have had bigger events than that b4, but i'd recon some of the new subdivision and low lying areas in town would be well & truely flooded.

apparently walpole had 150mls in 48 hours FE so quite a few good drops around the place.

Hi Wal, yes that was the official reading, but a farmer out at the "Valley of Giants" told local ABC Radio y'day morning he had 200mm on Thurs nite/Fri morning & i see they had 22mm last nite so he would be around the 9 inch mark for 48hrs!!!!
u'd had some big wheels if u had 9inches on that red Kal dirt Wal!!!!!

you are not wrong there FE. we got about 70mls when TC lua made its way down here and just about all of the dirt roads in the district were closed for about a week. we have not had much rain since then though, so you can send some up from albany if you want!!!

Not bad rainfall effort there. The most I have seen in 24 hours in north east nsw south qld is 400mm in 24hours that was in winter aswell. Pretty much shut the whole gold coast down an there were cars submerged past the roof on the gc highway out the front off belair broadbeach. Beat that

you have to realise mate that the climate in s/e queensland/ n/e nsw is completely different to the climate of the south west of western australia so 101mls is quite big for that region.

it was an insane thunderstorm, got well over 100mm at my place, constant thunder and lightning most of the night, one of the most memorable storms i've witnessed
