It's a shame we had such mild nights this weekend - a good frost would have aided the whole experience for the family for sure. Hope you got the drive in to Hill End/Sofala.

Yeh, nice to meet you too Dave. Got the drive in to Sofala, but ran out of time for Hill End. Gee that Sofala is a strange place. Reminded me of the movie Deliverance. lol.

"Cars that ate Paris" is an old movie that was actually made there - so there is a "movie" connection.

You see what I mean about the big rise and fall of the mountains & valleys around here though. smile

Brett Whitely did some amazing paintings around the Sofala area. I think he had a real feeling for the NSW tablelands. His painting "River at Marulan" is phenomenal. You can feel the frost!
