3.4C here now, just dipped under a weak coldie. I'm less worried about the relatively mild temps now and more interested in sitting under the better coldies. Bring 'em on.

Greg

The BMCC site is pretty much line ball with my backyard weather station during the night and very close with rain fall figures.

I seem to remember it has issues due to it's proximity to a metal roof in daylight hours, however is it fairly spot on for nightime temp readings?
Currently reads 4.1c (Only .7c lower than Mt Boyce AWS)

Cheers,

Greg

Greg, I think in night time conditions with some wind it would produce similar temps to a well-exposed screen thermometer. I'm a bit less sure about its wind direction currently showing northerly. I doubt that's right.

Very Heavy shower here just now outside of Bathurst. Plenty of small hail included.
It's now just steady rain. Temp 4 deg's, but I'm only using the car thermo.

Thanks Homer, some of those are about to arrive at Blackheath, Medlow and Katoomba. 3.2C here now before the showers drop the temp by at least 2C hopefully.

Laurier,

My backyard unit is showing the same direction as BMCC to within a couple of degrees,so fairly accurate I think.

Nice avalon, and this one:

Its looking good for Blackheath with the showers about to arrive. Have a look at how the radar is thickening up right near town now.

Settling nicely here in Meadow Flat. Will assume it's twice as heavy at Yetholme so the highway might be in a bit of trouble shortly

Disappointing here, some soggy flakes for sure but just sleet. Fractionally to my north, it may be snowing in that nice instability but not here. Missed by that much as Agent 86 would say.
