Where in those links does it say a cold start to august and a maximum tempreture exceeding the average from mid August through to September. I'm quite aware we will be returning to just below average temps late this week, but you also have forcasted a long term forcast starting from mod August through to September. I would like to see where you got this information from?

Today is 1st of August. Seven days forecast to 8th of August still show temperatures a same everyday from 13-14C to 24-25C. Hence cold start to August. Its virtually impossible for rest ofr August staying below 14C at night or 25C at day because of no rain or cloud in sight. Hence this will increase solar flux >>>>temperature increase.

Just because the sun is out for 14 days does not mean its going to get hotter. It all comes to play with what weather system is affecting our area at what time. We could get 4 weeks of sun and average temps, and then get a South west surge from the bight and we then have another cold snap for a week.

We are only getting 13-14c nights next week because we are under the influence of south east trade winds which increase moisture and overnight tempretures. Not because the sun has been out for 2 weeks and it's getting hot. I'm sure I explained to you what different weather systems do to Townsville on a local scale the other day. It's up to you whether you take a moment to listen.
