Sydney's weather is not nice, it seems.
The month started out miserably here, too, but that was all over by the 6th, with 37 mm of rain.
Since then, days have been warm and sunny.

Halfway through June, and the rainfall here is currently at about 150% of the average for the month (courtesy of the ECL over the weekend). At this stage, the second half of the month looks like it will be somewhat drier than the first half though.

Both min and max temps are running slightly below average for June:
MTD min avg: 11.9ºC (June Avg. 12.1ºC)
MTD max avg: 18.6ºC (June Avg. 19.2ºC)

Temperatures are running about normal here, except for an extremely warm subsoil.

At 18.9 degrees, the subsoil (750 mm) is 2.8 degrees above normal for the time of year. It is 7.8 degrees above the current daily mean air temperature, and is actually much warmer than the current daily maximum air temperature of 17.6 degrees.

Manilla had normal weather in June

The daily weather log
Most weather features in June were normal.: much the same as last year and the year before. Even the frosts were normal. Eleven mornings were frosty, 7 below zero, and 2 below minus 2° (averages: 13, 8, and 2). The coldest morning, the 24th, was -4.0°.
There were 7 rain days, the highest reading being 21.0 mm on the 3rd.
Comparing Junes
There is only one variable that is not on the June average: the subsoil temperature at 750 mm is extraordinarily warm, at 18.3°, 3.0° above normal.
The rainfall total of 45.0 mm is within a millimetre of the average (44.3 mm) and in the 59th percentile. Among totals for more than one month, only the 2-, 3-, and 4-month totals are beow the median.
