so far some great rolling rumbles of thunder and glimpses of lightning through the trees.
Light rain starting........would love to be on top of one of the peaks right now.

Come on ! This Yorke stuff needs to fire away. Its slightly getting darker each frame and that blob up north looks like it still has some fair "umphh" in it. Would be good if it all turned into one massive blob of Lightning. Hasn't even rained here in Adelaide today, got about 3 drops from very heavy virga in the Riverland today, thats it frown

BOM are more reactive now days instead of serious forecasting. They did give the head up possible storms this week.....but you would think now days they would have someone all over this. I mean these storms started 3-3.30pm up north you would think something might have triggered to them something was brewing!!!! Unfortunately if its not happening in NSW/VIC OR QLD they dont really care about it till they accidentley bump there mouse which takes it from there 256km view and go "oh wow look at that Big storms in SA... guess we better say something!
......bit harsh was i !?

2 fresh strikes to the south of the Lighting blob, just south of Whyalla. Now i can see that starting to spread a bit more south, the inactive band could go electrical soon. Touch wood.

Totally agree with you Surfer, this is just slack of the BOM and these just aren't some small, isolated cells, these are widespread bolts over a massive area. Someone needs the boot at the BOM. grin

AGREED
Honestly a lot of 4WDers and campers rely on good advice from BOM when camping in the flinders for them to issue a Thunderstorm warning at 10.45pm when this has been going for hours now is appalling!!! No time for people to move there camp sites to higher grounds etc...there would be serious flash flooding etc going on up there in the gorges etc!!!
