I dont know MT, I think the Pies might have something to say come September.
West Coast look to of peaked a little early like the Dons. Swans look good, as do Crows and Hawks.
For me a Collingwood v Hawthorne GF looks the most likely at this early stage, but the field does look to be narrowing.

cant take much into the results atm, alot of injuries going around, ess and eagles forward lines are sidelined. bombers problems started with our 3 narrow defeats. they were all game we 'should' have won. would be differnt for us now. even if we had won 2 of them, we would fighting for top 4, i dont think we can make the 4 now.

i dont like brad scott, think he is a tool. but i actually agree with his comments today, http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/141988/default.aspxthe MRP and tribunal are tearing the game apart and turning it into netball. someone had to say, and glad he did.

Swans did it again. Excellent 4th quarter performance. 29points win over St Kilda. Now its all about Swans and Crows being potential top 2 spots...

After seeing Hawthorn demolish my side Collingwood yesterday, without Franklin, and the Swans struggling to beat the Saints (they didn't pull away till very late in the game), it is clear to me that Hawthorn are one of the best things, and best value, for several years to win the flag. To my mind they should be about $2.50 for $1.00 invested, so anything above this represents value. If Collingwood plays like they did yesterday they definitely won't make the top 4 and are likely to go out in the first week of the finals.

the round certainly did sort some issues out as expected. surprisingly it was the games with teams outside the 8 that provided the closest matches. lions/suns, tigers/roos. both excellent games to watch. sadly my boys were shocking against the cats on friday. we have some quality players to come back in before the finals, but any chance we had of making the top 4 went with that game. hawks are by far the most consistant at the moment. crows are beating some quality opposition to for that matter. they are also going to hard to beat if they get home finals, which is likely to be the case.

Hawks look good, minus the Buddy factor as well. They tend to struggle a bit against organised defence, that is able slow down their running game. Still be hard to toss.
Mick at this point I think the Dons will be happy to just limp into the eight somewhere. They will make it no drama, however their confidence is so low right now, that finals might be a short excursion. They will build depth in their off season and then next year they will challenge seriously. But finals is a different game and surprises always happen !
By the way I hope you picked a game they are likely to win.

as frustrating as it is, i prefer to loose the close ones, than get flogged like the bombers have in the past month. atleast it shows grit and your team is battling hard. bombers have had 3 losses this year by 6 points or less, its terrible on your heart and nails, but but least in those games we were competitive.

It's certainly improvment, but I don't think Richmond deserve to play finals if they continue to lose the close ones.

our 4th loss this year by under 6 points, going to have heart attack one of these days. uh sucks. least we tried, and tried and tried, 2 more hammy's during the game, the clincher was winderlich who had kicked 4 till half time. once we lost him, we lost forward structure again. still held on and just failed. massive, massive match next sunday, ess v north for 7th spot. the looser likely to be out. and im going to the game! cant wait.

Swans powering it all the way with 9th win in a row. Its best record for the club in decades! Swans seems very unbeatable team at the moment. Thought we are expecting a lose against Carlton and Hawthorn. Prove myself wrong on this case.

lol expecting a loss against Carlton? Collingwood is the real test for the swans, then the G. Hey Mick, atleast you didn't have to experience it 3 times in a row! lol.

My friend putting $150,000 on Swans to win the flag. It seems fairly likely to happen because we are at $1.24 for winning the flag! Lowest value in years!?

Sorry, but that is $150,000 gone, when was the last time Sydney won at the MCG? Also Hawthorn are still premiership favourites on pretty much every agency, $1.24 is WAY too low for the premiership.
