Very weird warnings there.
I'm in Hobart (Eastern Shore) and I've been hearing some Thunder & there has been some showers.
But there is literally no wind to speak of, so I'm not sure about the tornado! =P

Calm before the storm??

Don't want to see any person or property damage but you have to admit it would be quite interesting to see.

My cousin at Oakdowns (just over the hill) has had quite a bit of Pea size hail.

I'm down in Rokeby, so not very far away from Howrah it's surprising you didn't get any hail.
We got very heavy pea sized hail as well, it only lasted for a few minutes though.

Thanks for that article, very interesting since tornados are usually unheard of in Tasmania.
Still raining here, hope we get more thunder and hail smile

here is the correct photo from the mercury, as you can see the tornado is tiny compared to the Photoshopped one. probably an EF0
i don't know if its just me, but does the tornado look like an elephants trunk. because i say that only if you look at the elevation the tornado looks cramped and you can see it extend much further
