I have noticed how volatile forecast is at the moment. They kept changing temperature a bit too much in forecast each day. I guess model is having hard time predicting it at the moment. Perhap if I talk about Saturday I rather wait till Friday to check for Saturday again. Its a bit strange they keep changing temp especially weekend coming up.

oh hello NE infeed.... you're right EP... looking good for this time next week, EC also proggin it - but yer long way off.

Not sure about BOM forecast for Fri/Sat... but yer looking possible for some thunderies about overnight Friday and through Saturday. I wont be expecting much though.

Yer was very unsure about the morning thunderstorm chance for friday....very marginal instability. Moreso saturday morning I think but models have pulled it back a tad and more N. Riverland prob get some afternoon and evening thundery showers on saturday though with the retreating troughline.

NE infeed wed/thurs, first in a while for me at least. No good though as I'm working both days, so will have to enjoy whatever I can. Early days but looks likely given the strong high advecting Pacific moisture fairly well inland which then gets captured by a trough. How far west that moisture gets is the question. GFS has huge rain thursday evening over SW VIC and parts of SE SA...as the trough captures it. Bit more of NW Indian moisture coming in also as the trough comes in from the west. Bit broad and waffly though but something...

See how models pan out.

TS cool

Some nice icy cirrus formations along the coast.

I like NE infeeds smile Not holding my breath for saturday, the fact that BOM has it on the forecast still in the way they've written it makes me wonder if I'm missing something though.

Yeah virga is totally underrated. I once saw some that looked like a giant cuttle fish scouting the ocean bottom with his testicles...keeping in mind I see things in clouds that no one else seems to see poke

I'm in the Mount but I will text Mum and ask her if she has heard anything down my place.

EDIT: Mum said nothing in Salisbury.

Yeah, it actually sounded like a massive airplane flying about 400m above the house, at the time i took no notice of it, as a jetstar usually takes off at around that time. But the person who called up on 5aa stated that it was at 10:45, i heard it at that time aswell and their house rattled....

congrats! bought my first DSLR in March and am totally addicted to photography. Its a fairly steep learning curve, but there are plenty of good tutorials on the 'net , and once you learn the concept of the exposure triangle it all starts to make sense. Good luck

Plenty of lightning now out on the west coast...
Unfortunately only likely to produce more fires as it gets into agric and scrub land...

Also, the Minlaton fire is very evident on radar atm.... you can distinguish the smoke plume apart from the actual precip cells as it continually builds from the fire just NNE of town.

Lots of cloud going up here with dark bases! Clear skies to my west so I reckon this will clear before they start producing sparks! But to my east and north will see something, I can see to the far north at the moment huge towering tops looks very nice
