Only 18C at 6pm, with a SSE wind, haven;'t seen it this cool at this time of the day for quite a while.
Not disliking it, that is for sure, not as if we miss out on any heat here.
Mid 20s last couple of days, and only 24C tomorrow, nice change.

About 10 degree min here this morning. with a cool breeze coming from the SE - it feels quite cool.

Heading for only about 22 here today, wind chill will make that even cooler to feel.

Cloud pushing over from the coast - won't leak on us though.

Weird feeling cool when so recently we were cooking every day smile

Sydney averaged 3.2 hours of sunshine per day for the first week of March, so the sun was obscured about 75% of the time. Indications are that today will pull the average down further.

Yesterday was wetter than either I of the BOM were expecting, with 5mm at OH at 9mm at Chatswood. It doesn't seem to have rained so far today, however.

We get a bit of a break from this for the weekend, then it looks pretty sure that another rain event arives Monday.

A few annoying moderate showers have passed over in the last little while, lasting 1 min or so. 0.2mm at Albion Park which begins another day of recorded rain; the 12th day of rainfall. So glad we get a reprieve of some sort on weekend (as little as it may be) because otherwise I'd be going crazy!!

A rare shower from the east hit here not long ago. Only light but I made sure I stepped outside in it to feel it grin

A pleasant 19 or so at the moment - very pleasant day.

Hunter forecast for this evening- slight chance of a shower about lower hunter 30%. We have had a number of short moderate showers and there is more on radar. Its more like "scattered showers, and that should equate to 70% or higher on the forecast.

GringosRain,it looks like something could be developing with a trough from Monday next week on,we might get some good rain here out of that if it comes off,I was going up into NE NSW and SE Queensland from Friday this week, but looking at the models,it looks like it might be a bit wet. I am going to wait a bit longer before heading off I dont want rain up there as I am going to a few mountain lookouts.

Only two sleeps to go until my family and I head northbound up the M31 Hume Freeway (Melbourne-Sydney) to the Capital this upcoming Victorian Labour Day Weekend! grin

The latest forecast for Canberra up until this time next week looks very encouraging, all thanks to a low pressure trough that's expected to come swinging down from the Outback and Tropical Northern Australia into Victoria and NSW/ACT this weekend. smile

Should be a hot, dry, mostly sunny day during the road trip on Friday; wouldn't rule out 35C being reached from Albury/Wodonga to Wagga Wagga and Gundagai. Forecast tops of 24C and 29C for Melbourne and Canberra respectively.

It dawns chilly with (hopefully) some morning fog in the Capital on Saturday. But hoping for a beautiful sunrise too, especially for the 2017 Canberra Balloon Spectacular! Then a hot, mostly sunny afternoon (low of 9C, high of 29C), although may see some late showers and thunderstorms start to build over the Brindabellas and into the NSW Snowy Mountains.

Sunday looks very unsettled (low of 11C, high of 30C). Partly cloudy, but hopefully with at least some good hot sunshine (and plenty of moisture, instability, and maybe wind shear) to get convection powering up over Canberra. Would love to score some heavy showers and potentially severe thunderstorm action! wink

Monday and Tuesday (the day I return home to Melbourne) both look showery, but hopefully more good storms will be involved. Low of 12C, high of 25C for Monday; low of 13C, high of 24C for Tuesday.

Can't wait to be heading back north across the Murray River! smile

Yes stormy something is brewing. If the stars align it could pan out quite well around here. That would mean the upper low being in the right position and potentially another ECL forming north of us. ATM though it looks like Illawarra south coast dominant, but Im not writing things off. Still need a big event to charge the dams. 106mm did nothing for the dams....amazing ! I have never seen that much rain fall in a week and have so little impact on the dams.

Next couple days runs are going to start to pin down the most likely outcome. Ants have been building for a while and they are 7 -10 days ahead, so something is on.

Hopefully we will see some warmth before this next system, these past few days have struggled to get into the low 20s.
Still some light scattered drizzly/shower patches about.

We are looking at 30 for Sunday - so pretty warm again for here.

Not confident of much rain here at this stage. Time will tell.

On the northern beaches, at least on the coastal fringe, there's been precip every day since Feb 24th (bar maybe one day). The ground has soaked up most of the wet stuff, so it shows just how dry it's been. After this bit of reprieve, we're back into the gloomy stuff from next week.

Loving the look of this setup coming into the SW Sunday into Monday. Should be some widespread storms

Hopefully you're right, as you'd know living in the Illawarra, we're not a big hotspot for storms... Although you would probably do marginally better than Dapto.

It was actually quite a pleasant day today, the sun came out and made for a partly cloudy and cool afternoon. The wind was modest as well which was nice.

20C at 8pm, must say I am liking this autumn change in the weather, esp since the 1st half of March is normally just a continuation of warm to very warm and humid Feb conditions.
Looking like some high diurnal ranges later in the week as well, one of the things I most enjoy about the shoulder seasons.

Managed to get to 24.9c today after some nice brief sunshine, but some very light showers moved in late this afternoon. Looking at the radar looks like a few more showers are on the cards for tonight.

Actually hoping for at least a few dry days before the next system arrives, lawns need mowing plus I would like to play a bit of cricket on Saturday, then it can let loose!!

I wouldnt mind a dry weekend to do some mowing too. Certainly grass loves the drink after the very hot and dry jan and feb. Not much to mow. I'm lovin that
