Nice 6 or 7 degrees out here this morning.

Up to about 28 so far as a max. Nice cool/pleasant breeze during the day.

Should be about 8 tomorrow morning.

Nights will warming up over the coming week, sadly back up around 14 or 15 degree minimums again for a few days after Tuesday. I really enjoy the single digit nights much more smile

Nights are starting to get a little chilly now as the season transitions to autumn. Now a jumper or jacket is appropriate attire for night time activities. Feels a bit cold here but is 18 degrees so not really much colder than it has been, but a few degrees does make a difference between cool and mild.

It's a beautiful clear, blue sky morning in Sydney, after a refreshingly cool night (overnight minima 14-17 across Sydney).

Troughing and on-shore winds looks to be the rule as far as the models can see, although most of the rain appears to be for the NE of the state. There might be some storms for our part of the world in the next few days, however. The last storm I see was back on Feb 25.

It wouldn't surprise me if OH has had its last 30+ reading for the season. Heat is probably finished for the coast, but there is nothing like an autumnal cold front on the horizon.

Heading to 33C today, will be the first day over 30C for March, which is quite a dramatic change after the hottest February on record.
Only 23C now, so going to take a while to get there, but enjoying this more cooler and more autumnish spell.
Normally it does not cool down until around the equinox.

Temp may not quite have got to forecast, but max was well after 3pm, so will see tomorrow when it is adjusted.
Good day without being too hot, went into Maitland Taste Festival on in the centre of town, felt hotter there, but always does on a weekend. (although there are normally very few around on normal Sundays, unlike today).

Certainly was a beautiful weekend sunshine wise. Yesterday I drove to Dungog to play my cricket GF and was nice to see the country side nice and green even if its patchy in places.

I can't believe Summer is gone!! frown

It sucks right. If we can skip straight to May apart from tomorrow and storms, that'd be great. I prefer very cold and sunny over mild and constantly wet.

Just noted minimum was only 11C last night, very cool for the first half of March.
Back to high teens though for the rest of the week, and warm and humid days, typical of March.

After the heat of Jan and Feb, I'm just happy that it HAS gone.
It has been lovely with generally mid 20's temps for a fortnight now.

Not missing it for one minute either!
Back down to mid 20s days now, this is paradise even for mid March.
No doubt it will get warm again, just not on the same scale as summer.

Very hot muggy night, was 21C-22C but felt hotter.
Had to have the dreaded aircon on again before bedtime.

Yep Derek - very similar here - terribly steamy yesterday and last night.

Still the same here today.

Hopefully we will get 20mm or so over the next few days.

As mentioned in the NSW rain thread - Equinox tonight, day length about to get shorter than nights this week.

As an aside - I am SMILING big time looking at the end of MARCH - I suspect a big seasonal step down in temps is on the way on about 10 or 12 days. grin

I just had a look at Sydney's obs. Badgery's Creek is on 23.5 degrees, with a dew point of 23.8. Does that mean it's under water? I think someone needs to check the equipment.

It is a very humid night, with temps around Sydney still 23-25, with dew points mostly around 21-22, giving humidity readings around 80-90%.Terrey Hills is on 22.1/22.1, for a perfect 100. Assuming that this is correct, it would be foggy there and probably drizzly. Given that TH is about 200m above sea level, maybe it's a very low cloud base. I don't have a good view here.

Penrith's dew point readings always seem high and tonight is no exception: 24.2/23.3, for 95%. Is it foggy there? Norah Head is also very high: 23.6/23.1 (96%).

For what it's worth, there was no drizzle or fog here last night or this morning with 100% humidity.
The air was clearly moist as it looked hazy this morning but not what I'd call fog. But cloud base down to about 100m.

Im looking forward to some drier air now, this humidity is making it feel like Feb is about to start.

Tomorrows storm chances are looking fairly good according to GFS at least, moderate instability, good shear and ofcorse no shortage of moisture.

Looks like another week of this , then a weak zonal westerly pattern establishes.
Should start to push some of this horrid humidity out.
